Oh, Dr.. Anyone who knows Brother Kenny even a little would never believe he would request a divorce! It would have to be a doctor who has never met either of them before and who was blind, deaf, and stupid! His love for her is so evident. Silly suggestion, but not offensive. For many couples, it would probably work!
Sister Candy, it's frustrating him terribly. I don't know about your medical system, but I feel his pain, and I'm sure you do, as well. Brother Kenny is getting to the end of his rope, and needs all the loving support we can give him. This thread was a wonderful idea, and a good way to let him know we care.
Just hope she is soon out of pain. It just wears you out. And of course, it is very disturbing for you also. Stay strong we are here for you. xxx
You know, Brother, you are never alone. You are well and truly loved. My prayerful thoughts are with you both.
wishing you the best, Boozer (it's Ken, right?) My sciatica has never been very serious, but when it cripples me it's only hard to get out of chairs or into the car. Laying down is not bad at all in most cases, though I've had times when it was bad. But I'm getting to a point... You mentioned medication issues, rocks and hard places. I've gone off my meds (psych meds) because when I jog they make me nauseous. Well, I like to jog... But having to choose between pain or food is incomprehensible. Can she have edibles? I'm not a proponent, personally. But having taken them for more than a year, I just know some things like they have a positive effect psychologically. She might not like it though cause it makes you kind of loopy. I wish I could help. Godspeed, Boozer.
I don't see any info on what has caused your wife condition Kenny but first place I go with back problems, 'which I've had LOTS of doing 45 years of building construction,' is a GOOD chiropractor. Fell in love with them when I meet my first one unable to straighten up not quite to 45 degrees. Have never been a fan of pain pills as they do NOTHING to correct the problem causing the pain. I do hope you find relief for her and she heals up quick.
The answer may be the temporary use of a wheelchair. I used double canes before the loss of my leg, and it's much easier. I really think it would be easier on both of you until the back trouble is sorted. My prayerful thoughts are with you both.
Soul. I like to be called Kenny. (More friendly) Thank you for this and all other posts people. It is very kind of you. Wifey still pretty bad and had hardly any sleep. Every time she moves she is in intense pain. The surgery is supposed to telephone us tomorrow (Monday) and hopefully come up with a medical solution for pain relief. She CANNOT have Opioids at all. They make her feel ill and nauseous with tummy pains. She needs that like a hole in the head. Chris won’t consider a wheelchair until she sees how this pans out. One never knows. The situation just might improve. Soul! I read your post out to Wifey. She is Coeliac so is very restricted on food anyway. But she asked me. What do you mean by Edibles? Thank you friends.
Greetings Kenny! To answer your question, edibles are things like cookies, brownies, candies, etc. that are infused with CBDs from cannabis. CBDs are proven to reduce pain and inflammation, without any effects on your brain. No high is involved... simply less pain. It's very subtle, and you may have to experiment with the exact dosage a bit. That is IF you can get any in the UK. I don't think it's legal over there yet. In the US lots of research is being done and products are being created and developed to bring CBDs into the mainstream. PS - one can also obtain the pure oil and infuse your own foods at home for more control, and to avoid any thing that might irritate your wife's celiac issues.
Brother, I've been reading up on Chris' condition and was surprised to learn that sufferers often are plagued with Osteoporosis, or brittle bones. I understand her reluctance to use a wheelchair, being in one myself, but it may come to that. My heart breaks for Chris in her suffering, and for you, because I know you love her so and would change places with her and take her suffering on yourself if you only could. If it does come to that, and I pray it won't, the strength of your love will carry you through. May God direct to you a doctor who truly cares and will handle her case wisely and with compassion.
Thanks Zen. I must look into that, but I doubt if I can get them here in the UK. God.I didn’t know what that was. Just shows what a sheltered life I have led! One obviously SHOULD be able to obtain them. Particularly if they are for medical reasons.
I hope Chris has a better nights sleep tonight. She has taken 3 Amitriptyline. I just showed Chris your and Zen's post. She filled up over them, and she thanks you guys for your very kind support.
