I woke up one morning and decided to go into business, this is my first official piece under my new idea. My aim is to make clothes for guys in bands in my city... and chicks too, but there are just no funky clothes for the lads about town where I live... so I'm here to save the day!

Awesome purple corduroy jeans... for a guy!

    Hmmm thats a good question.

I havent decided entirely... A pair of palin blue denim, straight leg levi 501 jeans cost $100 AUS here....

I figure, with the time it takes to make them, material costs and the fact that they are exactly what the customer wants, made to fit, means that I would probably make a pair of jeans for around... $80 and say that it was more than reasonable, of course it depends what they were made of and how much it was to buy the material.

I have a good straight leg jeans pattern in multi sizes, so I figure since you cant really get good mens flare pants paterns, I'll just alter it to make them as far out as they want. My next project is a pair exactly the same, but made from maroon velvet.

The only thing I need to get now is a niecly cut mens shirt and 3 button blazer jacket pattern in multi sizes... I have a feeling there would be quite a market for custom shirts and jackets... ooooh or better yet.... complete suits in far out fabrics!

I guess I'm wanting to be like a one woman modern day Granny Takes A Trip :D

Guys just don't get funky clothes. most of the stuff you can buy in shops if you're male is dull and uninspiring. those pants, however, look awesome, and i wish I had some! (purple pants)

The problem with pink clothing on guys is that it looks gay. And it's not like I am a homophobe or anything, but I don't want to be thought to be someone that I am not.

    yeah, but theyre purple.

What ever happened to the days when colourwas unisex.
Its like the males of this world are all in the army, with all their brown and kaki cargo pants, or denims.... its all so... regular. Nothing is out there anymore.

What we need is more syd barretts!

Go for it. I live in a conservative area, but I opened an alternative furniture store 4 years ago and it's doing great. You should start your own biz. But don't sell yourself short.
Charge more for those pants. Build you name reputation, and people will pay to have your name on their ass.

    thanks dude!

    Encouragement always helps.

I hope to build a reputatuin for having quality threads.

But i wont be plastering my name, I want to make clothes that say theyre made by me, without saying it at all. :)
