The photo of the Betty Boop characters under the lamp post, reminded me of another northern character Candy darlin' - George Formby and this song:
Cos of the covid mate they have had to put in extra measures like table service etc (used to be free before 2pm then two quid after ! )
Yes, they told us that. You also need to book. It is still very popular. Shame I can't post the videos. Anyway, enjoy your sunshine. Lucky you.
John Lennon has a memorial airport? EDIT* I'm almost 100% certain guaranteed we have a John Wayne. But I wouldn't know John Wayne if it bit my on the arse... More from a bygone era. I had a friend growing up from age 3 or 4 through about 11, Matthew, whose father was a big John Wayne fan... Lennon, not so much. But my mother loves loves loves John Lennon. She's pre-Beatle mania - the entirety of the "British Invasion" of rock'n'roll enthusia/history occurred while she was a nun in a Catholic convent, dear woman. But her appreciation for John Lennon persists - despite "Imagine there's no heaven..." and "no religion too". Well, what I think he meant by that is relating to our potential to relate with other cultures, and the barriers that were erected, no doubt inadvertently, by having different religious philosophies... (there was no internet back then and they couldn't arrange the whole thing by email )... Anyway, Lennon's purpose with Imagine is most certainly not lost on me! And I revere his the poetry of his lyrics therein!
