"...Obedience is different to submission...." Oh, rats! I thought we were about to get into really interesting territory. Still, some respondents may confuse the two and divulge 'interesting' items. One can hope.
we are all obedient to what is in our minds. how that relates to the rest of the universe varies somewhat. at any rate, again it is consideration that counts. i kind of halfway expected this would link to one of those survey things that would give you some kind of meaningless percentage number.
I would have to ask, "How is wearing an armband going to keep me from drowning?" Unless of course they're the inflatable kind.
obedient to what i believe it would take to create the kind of world i'd like to live in. obedient to avoiding risks that offer too little gratification from them. gratuitous obedience to someone else's phantasy, maybe not so much. somewhere in there is the desire to not rain on their peeraid, but, keeping the human's world in a condition their species can exist on is kind of like there's not much point for them if they don't exist. this is not some kind of a religion thing, its really very, organically mechanical. obedient to the goodness of strangeness and avoidance to the harm of wishing to be feared. its not an expectation of perfection, but a leaning into a desirable direction.
Oh sure. Completely compliant. Whatever anyone tells me to do---that's what I do. I don't have an independent thought in my mind. Someone-- please tell me to do something.
I'm not obedient or compliant at all because I don't recognize the right of any government or individual to force their will on anyone. We're all supposedly born as equals, and I simply will never tolerate anybody's interference in any aspect of my life. Especially governments that I've never voted for and never will, and who are completely corrupt and undemocratic like the government in the UK.
