    !!!!!!!

    This has to be by far the greatest album released this millenium. ....in my opinion...

    I'm talking about Brian Wilson's finally finished SMiLe... my mom found it today at the mall when she went, and called and asked if I wanted it.... it's so... amazing... tho that hardly describes this beautiful piece of work.

    I suggest that everybody gets this album.

    i want to get it, really bad...although, i don't like the idea that he re-recorded everything. while it makes sense, i wanted to hear it, in the original 60's style sound it would've been in...i wish it would've been finished and released when it was intended to be...although some people that would've changed how some people reacted to the beatles "sgt. pepper's" album. since, the beatles were present with brian while he worked on 'smile' and apparently took alot of his ideas and used them for their music.

    no no no no no!!

    I've got most of the 60s recordings, found 'em on bearshare... from what I've heard so far, they are the exact same, just much better quality... obviously.

    Brian's voice (the backing band's too) aren't as great as the originals, but they aren't bad at all.

    You should really get it. :)

    I've wanted it for awhile now...I've got it on the computer, but I really want a hard copy because it's just worth it. :( My dad won't buy it, though, because he thinks that kind of music is a bad influence...:( And here he is, listening to Motley Crue and fucking Whitesnake.

    The 60s recordings of smile are much better. The new Brian Wilson album just doesn't sound like 1967, his voice sounds different, and i don't like what he did to 'Good Vibrations'.

    I downloaded this cd with 30 tracks from the smile sessions of 1966-67. It sounds fantastic;

    There's a Pet Sounds box set which I'm thinking about buying. I suppose it has some rare tracks or something on it. Hopefully it's not just alternate recordings.

    Haha... how are the Beach Boys a bad influence? (o_O)

    ...Whitesnake? [IMG]
