I know you can wash dreads and I do But everytime I want to wash my dreads I find it easier to just take out all my beads and wash each one then put my beads back on when they dry. Is that what everyone else does? I know there is alot of people on here with beads in their dreads too and I was just looking to see how you guys wash your dreads. Peace
I have only washed mine once so far (only a week old). But, I took out my beads when I washed them. Mostly because it felt weird wearing them while washing. lol But, also I was afraid that the hair under the beads wouldn't dry and would get moldy or something. Not something I want to chance. *hugs* Jessie
I leave my beads on when I wash my dreads. Too much hassle to remove them every time I wash. Just don't dye your dreads with beads in. I dyed my dreads black and all my wooden beads got dyed black too.
I wash my dreadlocks with the beads in. If your having a hard time with them staying tight don't wash the whole dready while its new though, it won't lock as fast and will get build up-y. Just scrub the soap on your roots and the soap will run down and rinse the rest of the locks.
I leave them in. Mostly because when people put a bead in my dreads they choose the dread they want it on, and it stays on that dread forever or untill i pass it on to someone else It wont to any harm to keep them in unless you have a whole dread covered in beads. However i have a braid wrap over one of my smaller dreads and just wash that normally too. :S
ok yeah i was thinking that. i am just gonna leave them in plus once i took them off and got out of the shower and was rincing the soup off them in the sink and one didnt want me anymore so went down the drain sad sad day *sighs*
