He may have been right, but Malcolm X was not a hippie. Extremely conservative in his grooming and dress, strict in his Muslim beliefs, morals, habits, and rituals, an advocate of violent confrontation, a racial separationist, and born in 1925, he doesn't fit the definition of "hippie" in any way.

Malcolm X was seen as a threat by much of the U.S. Government, but that doesn't make him a hippie.

Ultimately, he was seen as an even greater threat by the Nation of Islam. Being hated by a hate group doesn't make him a hippie.
