Trump took his own personal, dumb screw-up about a hurricane and, because of his inability to admit to making a mistake, turned it into a multiple law-breaking saga.
Accurate statement. 2 disgraced ex-presidents who thought they had no laws to restrict their perceived "absolute power." Authoritarian dictator wannabe's.
While claiming he had nothing to hide. So why the months of delay & ignoring the request to turn over the documents??
Documents have just been released which indicate Mueller could have charged others, like T.... Jr and R stone. I don't know why he held back? One interesting bit is that Junior got -from wikileaks- a secret password to PutinTrump.org during the runup to the 2016 election. One would think Mueller would have followed up on it?
"... his inability to admit to making a mistake ..." this is the key to T****'s defective personality. He thinks he's perfect. T**** looked up to the sky with outstretched arms, and proclaimed, "I am the anointed one. I am your savior." This is actual fact. It's recorded on tape. He thinks he's The Second Coming of Christ. (being "god" - he cannot make a mistake). In T****'s eyes only. For Bible believers - Jesus warned people that in the end times, false prophets would rise up claiming they come in His name, and claim, "I am he. I am the anointed one." Jesus WARNED people NOT to follow them. I guess many "so-called Christians" want to ignore Jesus' teaching ........ and warnings.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/02/12/trump-15-boxes/ excerpt: "But it was not until the end of the year that the boxes were finally readied for collection, according to two people familiar with the logistics, one of whom described the ordeal as “a bit of a process.” At one point, Archives officials threatened that, if Trump’s team did not voluntarily produce the materials, they would send a letter to Congress or the Justice Department revealing the lack of cooperation, according to a third person familiar with the situation. “At first it was unclear what he was going to give back and when,” said one these people, who, like the others, spoke on the condition of anonymity to share candid details of a sensitive situation. Trump was noticeably secretive about the packing process, and top aides and longtime administrative staffers did not see the contents, the people said."
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/02/12/trump-15-boxes/ excerpt: "The tale of these 15 boxes — and the material contained within — underscores how defiantly and indiscriminately Trump violated the records law, which requires that the White House preserve all written communication related to a president’s official duties and then turn it over to the National Archives. Instead, starting in his presidency and continuing into his post-presidency, documents both classified and mundane — as well as official gifts, which are governed by similarly stringent rules — were treated with the same disregard and enveloped in the same chaos that characterized his term in office."
Humor from Frank Cerabino who has monitored Trump in Palm Beach for decades. A guide for club members in handling classified material at Trump's Mar-a-Lago Frank Cerabino, Palm Beach Post Sat, February 12, 2022, 6:01 AM A guide for club members in handling classified material at Trump's Mar-a-Lago | Frank Cerabino excerpt: "Information gone with a pull of a finger That means if you discover a toilet in the club is clogged with a soggy ball of paper that appears to be a transcribed conversation with a foreign head of state, you have a clear responsibility to take either these two courses of actions: Try flushing it down a few more times, or find another toilet. The good news is that Mar-a-Lago has 33 bathrooms with two more in the works. Just pick one that doesn’t have a shallow pool of water on the floor. There should be a few left. Some of you have asked what you should do if your brunch menu appears to be printed on the back side of a document that details troop movements, insurrection instructions from the My Pillow guy or a failed cognitive-function test. Don’t overreact. It’s not important. Either hand it to the former president while he’s dancing to the YMCA song on the lanai, or dispose of it yourself in the nearest club restroom. Remember to flush multiple times."
Summary of the failed quest of Tina Peters to promote Trump's election lies. Like Trump, she keeps digging herself into a deeper trench. MAGA Clerk Attends Event that Calls for Hangings After Arrest But her path to the national stage began on May 25, 2021. That’s when someone in the clerk’s office is accused of turning off security cameras that monitored the county’s voting equipment. During the blackout, someone using the name “Gerard Wood” accessed the machines and copied voter data, which was soon leaked to conspiracy theorist (and current longshot congressional candidate) Ron Watkins. Although the stolen data showed no election malfeasance, Peters branded herself a whistleblower of local election fraud. She rode Lindell’s private jet to his “Cyber Symposium” on election conspiracy theories in August, where she gave a speech about supposed discrepancies in Mesa County data. Peters, who had also used taxpayer money to buy a plane ticket to the event, soon went into hiding in Lindell’s “safe house,” finally emerging this fall.
Peters' deputy clerk was charged in September 2021 and turned herself in. MAGA Clerk Attends Event that Calls for Hangings After Arrest excerpt: During Peters’ absence, her deputy clerk Belinda Knisley was charged with second-degree burglary and cybercrime, “in relation to possible harassment of employees in her office that relate to ongoing investigations into other possible state and federal criminal matters,” the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reported at the time. Knisley is accused of using Peters’ office computer and login to access and print county documents this summer. Knisley was not allowed in the office at the time, because she had been placed on suspension following multiple accusations of inappropriate workplace behavior. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Peters allegedly illegally recorded court proceedings for her deputy who had been arrested, which led to the arrest of Peters. MAGA Clerk Attends Event that Calls for Hangings After Arrest excerpt: "By the time she returned from hiding this fall, Peters was facing an investigation by Griswold’s office, which accused her and Knisley of allowing “Gerard Wood” to access and copy Mesa County voter data in May. Griswold’s office also accused another Peters staffer of abetting the breach: a charge Peters’ legal team has denied. The staffer was fired by county officials in November. But it was a recent court hearing for Knisley that sparked Peters’ latest legal woes. Peters is accused of using an iPad to record Knisley’s hearing on Monday, despite a judge’s warning and courtroom signs announcing that recordings were prohibited. When questioned during the hearing, Peters denied that she’d been recording court proceedings. According to an arrest affidavit, police served a search warrant on the iPad on Tuesday."
Obstructive behavior by Peters during her arrest for obstruction led to another obstruction charge. MAGA Clerk Attends Event that Calls for Hangings After Arrest except: "They found Peters at a Grand Junction bagel shop, where she allegedly resisted the search. Footage appeared to show Peters lashing out at officers. “Do not kick,” one officer shouted as Peters swung what appeared to be a brown suede boot in his direction. The incident resulted in a charge of obstructing a peace officer, in addition to her previous charge of obstructing a government proceeding (by allegedly recording the court hearing). Peters turned herself in to police on Thursday morning, paid a $500 bond, and turned her story into a tale of martyrdom at her speech that evening, where she received a standing ovation."
