This storm is an over-performer. We were initially only expecting upwards of an inch of snow but 2 1/2 inches have already fallen and now they're calling for 3-5 inches.

Looks like I'll be able to burn off a few calories tonight shoveling snow after the all the pizza and chicken wings I'm going to consume while watching the super bowl. ...lol..

We received about 6 inches of snow.

Historically the most snow we received on this date was during The Great St Valentines Day Blizzard of 1899 which dumped 1-2 feet of snow in Eastern Massachusetts and 23 inches on parts of Cape Cod.

The storm also known as the Great Arctic Outbreak of 1899 brought sub-zero temperatures as far south as Florida with Tallahassee recording a temperature of −2 °F an all-time record for the city.
