You're getting your wish, except it's 1:30 am your time. A good interview with Gen Wesley Clark prev, Commander of NATO Europe, as to potential outcomes. And more footage of Ruski shelling of civilians. This is CNN and MSNBCs and Reuters prime-time for interviews and updates.

In less than two weeks, Russia has already lost two generals and over 11,000 troops. To put that in perspective, the U.S. lost 4,431 military personnel in our eight year war in Iraq.

We're much better than Russia at invading and occupying foreign sovereign countries that are no threat to us.

A lot of the make up of the Russian troops are inexperienced conscripted kids . Many have been told that they were going on a military training exercise. The morale as a result is very low coupled with shortages of food and fuel . The latter 2 items was a miscalculation by their planners . They expected this to be over after 48 hours and now we are on day 12 .

I think eventually the cities will fall into Russian hands but I think the Ukrainians will be far more adept at Guerrilla warfare than the Russians being able occupying forces . Therefore casualties and material will be further lost on a larger scale .

This war will be costly to Russia and with a broken economy ,will be difficult for them to fix .

A bit more development of the Polish jet front .

This is not dead in the water as first thought . Ben Wallace the Secretary of State for Defence in the UK ,has mention on a Sky News interview that the UK will support Poland, should they supply these MIG 29A Interceptor planes to Ukraine should the Russians make reprisals . It seems everything is on Putins terms at the moment and this needs to change . I think the West should also declare war on Syria if it supplies troops to aid the Russian war effort in the Ukraine .I am sure Putin would do the same if it was the other way around. Its about time we started calling his bluff .

Another thing linked to this crisis is that of energy .

Boris Johnson the UK PM has already agreed to increase capacity for extracting gas and oil from The North Sea.

If push comes to shove , I think we should consider reopening the coal mines to help fill our energy gaps . The enviromentalists can take a back seat here until this is over and things improve. Burning cities are also not enviromentally friendly either .

A perfect example of the Guerrilla warfare tactics you mentioned. .

Thirty Russian Helicopters Destroyed in Surprise Attack, Ukraine Claims

Ukraine claimed its forces have destroyed 30 Russian helicopters in an attack on an airfield near the occupied southern city of Kherson.

"At night, Ukrainian soldiers shelled the Chornobaivka airfield near Kherson. The occupiers decided to partially deploy their fleet there.

Thirty enemy helicopters were destroyed, as well as manpower and equipment," Ukraine's Marine Command said in a statement on Facebook, as translated by Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.

    Luv it . THanks :)

This will further erode the Russian presence and confidence of their troops .

I am more confident now that the Ukrainians will prevail here as they are made of sterner stuff .

The Ukrainians have a very strong cause to fight. For them it is life or death. The average Russian solder does not have urgent drive to fight but are being forced into this conflict. Many Russian POW's are stating that they were tricked into attacking Ukraine. That they did not want to fight or kill their neighbors. Large numbers of Trucks and other equipment are just being abandoned along the sides of the roads or in the middle of fields . So for lack of fuel. Others for the lack of desire to fight the Ukrainians. Russians back home are protesting the war. And those that are. Are being beaten and arrested for " illegal " protesting. Russian politicians are speaking out against the war. Mothers are speaking out for their sons . I truly hope that the current conditions in Russia will cause it's citizens to force Putin out of office and into a jail cell. The economy that Russia was enjoying before the war and what they are facing now is like being in daylight and suddenly finding yourself in darkness. And they realize it is because of Putin's war that is doing it. Families are being divided on both sides of the border now because of the war. And their family members dying because of Putin's attempt to flex his muscles .

I would love to see an uprising in Russia to remove Putin and his propaganda network.

Re: The video of a Russian helicopter being hit by a Stinger. I'll have a few seconds of sympathy for the poor bastards, one minute they're flying back to their base, and 8 seconds (I timed it) later, blown unconcious and dead on the ground. It took eight seconds!

I would sincerely love to believe this is the widespread attitude amongst Russians (soldiers & civilians). Unfortunately Putin has such a tight clamp on what his people hear, I'm sure he's spinning this into a "Russia First" campaign just like President Bigly Orange did with Americans. Think about it, if a propaganda machine like Trump was able to fool some 40% of Americans into thinking his megalomaniacal schemes were for the good of the people, despite all the fact-checking websites, free journalism & voices of saner minds contradicting his lies, just imagine what Putin can accomplish with his total censorship of all information getting to his people. I hate to think this, but at best there is going to be a deep divide amongst Russians with at least half of them worshipping Putin and nothing can change that. Even if he launches an insurrection against his own country they'll love him. :unamused:

I am hearing from various sources that many were advised that this was a training exercise. Many of these are conscripted kids with no experience of modern warfare . Hence the morale is very low coupled with shortage of rations and fuel its a disaster for them in the North .
