The Ukraine Crisis Part 1 The initial Battles

After the fall of the USSR it would have made sense that NATO was no longer needed, but as it turns out Russia can't handle democracy. They're an autocratic state, communist or not. And they are a threat to their neighbors. I wish the Russians would depose Putin and then take another crack at forming a democracy.

 

And now the Pentagon is saying this isn't such a great idea...

 

Poland has agreed to send all of its MIG-29 fighter jets to U.S. bases in Germany and place them at the disposal of the United States. Ukraine should be sending its fighter pilots to Germany right now to be ready to receive the aircraft and fly them back to Ukraine and pounce on Russians who are indiscriminately targeting innocent civilians in their sick aggression. It's absolutely appalling what they're doing.

As far as Putin's demands, he should be given nothing... absolutely nothing. He needs to pull all of his forces out of Ukraine, pull out of Crimea, and allow Belarus to have honest elections. The only thing we should allow him to do is live, that is until the people of Russia dole out justice, or until the ICC finds him guilty of genocide or crimes against humanity, or war crimes.

How can someone in hiding run a country? The people of Russia should declare his leadership null and void and have an election to determine the new president. Putin should just be considered a fugitive from justice and let the pieces fall where they may.

 

Russia is about to further isolate it's people, so any news will be state approved (i.e. propaganda)

Putin can now tell his people anything and they have no way of verifying if it's the truth.

He could literally invent any pretext to escalate this conflict which includes the use of nuclear weapons.

Maybe it is because Putin is running scared as this war so far has been one big cock up so far. He doesnt want the Russian people finding out . This will give Putin time to try and turn things into his favour . He has already gone back to using the old Soviet tactics pf pummeling civilian areas in the cities ,trying to ramp up pressure on the Government of Ukraine .

 

I think Biden has been too Over cautious perhaps and cant help thinking how different George Bush either senior or junior would have handled things .

Everything I have seen so far is on Putin's terms .

Its going to be interesting to see the reaction when the Syrians arrive . Probably nothing going off what has happened so far

Since Putin is bombing civilian targets its important to take the civilian population out of the equation by continuing to evacuate them to friendly neighboring countries

Some will seek permanent residency in other European countries, Canada, and in the US, but most will likely return home after a permanent ceasefire is reached.

The latest crap coming out of Moscow is the Blonde Witch of Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is stating the USA has been developing Biological Weapons in labs in the Ukraine . Another attempt albeit feeble to escalate things .

 

Biden could not lead out of a paper bag it took 13 days and civilian causalities to stop importing Russian oil if you think thats good leadership we are on the wrong page, IF the US had strong leadership this situation would not be happening and NO cheeto jesus aint it either

 

I see where you are coming from but going back to Putins speech a couple of days ago , he is treating the economic sanctions as an act of war .
So technically we are already at war as I see it
