Mo Brooks gave an incendiary speech (“start taking down names and kicking ass”) at Trump's rally at the Ellipse on Jan. 6.

Brooks petitioned the DOJ to defend him in cases against him related to the riot at the Capitol, contending that he was acting in his capacity as a member of Congress at Trump's rally.

    The DOJ refused.

Mo Brooks may turn out to be a good example of how Trump and others became caught up in the fervor of his riot and promoted various people for office based on that emotion who later turned out to be duds.

    Trump made him do it.

    He was summoned by Trump.

Moreover, summoned in his capacity as a U.S. Congressman.

Mo Brooks says Trump is responsible for him giving a speech at rally before Capitol riot

    excerpt:

“Brooks only gave [a speech] because the White House asked him to, in his capacity as a United States Congressman,” read the court filings posted by NBC Washington.

Hey guys, this is not a trick question, and has no right/wrong answer.
Try to focus on the hypothetical question, chill a bit, and just imagine the same scenario with a different president.
I am trying to get a feel whether all the negativity here is directed at Trump, his policies, republicans in general, lack of sleep or sex, or what.?
Your answers will not be graded.
Perhaps we can find some common ground here.

These are my personal beliefs. 1) I don’t like liars, and cheaters. Hence my disdain for trump.
Trump’s immigration policy was racist against brown, and black people. Now if you were white, like his wife’s parents, the gates were wide open.
2)I was raised a Republican. The first time I voted, I voted for Nixon, in 1972. That also happens to be the last time I voted for a Republican.

McGreacin of Idaho can't take the heat and storms out of press briefing.

Trump did the same during an interview with NPR. He ranted about the election he thinks was stolen from him and hung up the phone midway through what was supposed to be a 15 minute interview.

Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin Storms Off After White Nationalist Questions

    excerpt:

"Peppered with questions about her appearance at a far-right conference organized by infamous white nationalist Nicholas Fuentes, Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin couldn’t take the heat. In an interview that went viral on Wednesday, Boise’s KTVB-TV reporter Brian Holmes began by asking McGeachin: “Are you familiar with who puts this event on? Like, Nick Fuentes?” McGeachin responded, “I don’t. I don’t know who he is. I don’t.” She said she’s “never met him” despite making a virtual appearance at Fuentes’ AFPAC gathering. The back and forth carried on with Holmes firing back follow-up questions, only for the lieutenant guv to eventually call it quits. “Interview’s over,” she declared before taking off her mic and walking off."

Putin lashes out at various groups.

He sounds as unhinged as Trump.

Putin Says Russia Must Undergo a 'Self-Cleansing of Society' to Purge 'Bastards and Traitors'

    excerpt:

"Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a speech Wednesday that Russia should undergo a "self-cleaning of society" to get rid of the "bastards and traitors" as thousands of Russians try to flee the country amid its invasion into Ukraine.

"The collective West is attempting to splinter our society," Putin said in a video address shared on Twitter. "Speculating on military losses, on socio-economic effects of sanctions, in order to provoke a people's rebellion in Russia."

"But any people, the Russian people especially, are able to distinguish true patriots from bastards and traitors, and will 'spit them out,'" he said of those who do not back the Kremlin.

"I am certain that this necessary and natural self-cleaning of society will only strengthen our country, our solidarity, togetherness, and our readiness to answer any calls to action," Putin said."

Putin appears to be a little upset that his request to the people of Ukraine to lay down their weapons and surrender to his invasion hasn't worked.

For the past year, Putin hasn't been coddled like he was for four years by Trump. He seems to be suffering withdrawal symptoms.

So … if president X ( never identified as dem or repub, by the way) didn’t lie or cheat, and ?? something about his in-laws?… then he / she would get a second term. … But, you have a PTSD regarding a prior rebublican spygate situation.
I am not sure whether you answered the question, but I appreciate where you are coming from. Thanks.

Trump supporter who stormed Capitol while facing attempted murder charge released into grandfather's custody

    excerpt:

"The government had asked Nichols to reverse the decision of a federal magistrate judge who had ordered Beddingfield released from pretrial detention into the custody of his grandfather.

Beddingfield, a North Carolina resident, was identified by online sleuths in March 2021 and arrested in February 2022. His attorneys have not disputed that he participated in the attack on the Capitol.

The Justice Department also alleges Beddingfield racially harassed social media users online after he took part in the Jan. 6 attack. And a federal prosecutor revealed during Wednesday's hearing that a Capitol Police officer said Beddingfield used a flagpole to take aim at his genitals as police battled with rioters attempting to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s electoral college victory."

The type of people Trump likes.

Beddingfield attacked police officers with the pole of an American flag at the Capitol in the name of Trump's lies about the election supposedly being stolen from him. He was already charged with attempted murder before Trump's riot.

After doing nothing to stop the mayhem for hours, Trump praised his rioters, told them they were special, and said he loved them.

Several things bothered me about Trump...
    • He was more loyal to Putin than he was to U.S. interests. That was a biggie. What he did by believing Putin's word about hacking into U.S. systems and dismissing U.S. intelligence was bordering on treason. Add to that, his secret meetings with Putin. He refused to follow security protocols when it came to top secret communications so we'll never know some of what went on.
    • Trump violated several articles of our Constitution as if the document didn't matter; his job was and he was sworn to uphold the Constitution, yet he acted like it didn't apply to him. A few violations off the top of my head... To honor treaties with other countries signed by previous presidents. His refusal to divest his business interests violates the Emoluments Clause. His staff regularly violated the Hatch Act. He abused his ability to bypass Congress and use "acting" federal officers instead of having the Senate approve his choices. He did that even though he had a Republican majority in the Senate.
    • Trump wasted billions on his border wall. He also used money appropriated for other purposes to build the wall, which is another Constitution violation.
    • Trump tried to bribe Ukraine's president to make up dirt on Joe Biden's son for political gain.
    • Trump handed out covid relief rebates to wealthy people and corporations that didn't need it as if it was candy.
    • Trump discounted the seriousness of covid and promoted irresponsible behavior that exacerbated the pandemic.
    • Trump's tax cuts (mainly for the wealthy) increased the deficit by $100s of billions every year and did little to stimulate the economy.
    • Trump used the word "Democrat" as a pejorative. He was supposed to be president of the entire country — not just the people who voted for him, especially since he received three million fewer votes than his opponent.
    • Pretty much ever word out of Trump's mouth was a lie. He lied over 30 thousand times while in office!
    • Every interview with Trump or one of his staff was a show of belligerence rather than responsible, honest responses.

Those are off the top of my head. There are many more.

It's called chain migration. His in laws were allowed to migrate to the US because Melania was a citizen.

    PTSD?
By the way, I have asked you several questions which you have failed to answer.

Melania hasn't disclosed any of her immigration documents. Her road to permanent residency is murky.

First Lady's Parents Become U.S. Citizens Thanks To 'Chain Migration'

    excerpt:

"However, the circumstances of her immigration are not entirely clear.

In November 2016, the AP reported that she was paid for several modeling jobs in the U.S. before obtaining a work visa, which would be illegal under immigration law.

Her green card was granted under the elite EB-1 program, according to The Washington Post. That preferential program, popularly known as the "Einstein visa," is intended for immigrants with "extraordinary ability, [who] are an outstanding professor or researcher, or are a multinational executive or manager," according to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services."
