GF is pregnant(Cannot have the baby/abortion) what to do?

My gf just got pregnant about couple weeks ago just took the test today and it came up positive. There is no way in hell we can have a baby considering im only 18 and shes 17 and we def cannot support a child. The thing is thought her legal mother left her couple years ago and moved across the country without her. So she technicly has no leagal guardian...which means we cannot get a abortion..correct? I hate to say this but we are hoping to get a misscariage or something because we cant have a kid. Im just wondering if anyone can help me on what we can do to not have this child...

why can't you just carry the child and then give it up for adoption? or do an open adoption?

 

In most states your GF may be declared an emancipated minor, and then can make her own medical decisions, OR (and probably faster) IF you live in a "parental notification state" you can easily petition a judge and have him OK the procedure. Call Planned Parenthood, they can lead you through the process and make it happen sooner, if that is what you both want.

I am sorry you two have to go through this. Hoping for a miscarraige won't help. Usually the people who want them don't get them. And there is NOTHING safe you can do yourself. PLEASE see Planned Parenthood in your area. They really can help.

I hope you and your womyn can make a workable decision. Talk to PP because your options may not be as limited as you thought. Public Aid is available, if you decided to keep the baby, but if that isn't workable, they will help you decide what will be best for both of you.

 

what's your girlfriends feelings on this? Please make sure you know she is happy with what you are both deciding as this is about the both of you and it is really easy for a young woman to be influenced by those around her, make 100 percent sure you know what she is thinking and feeling as this will help you both make the right decision as this will live with you whichever way you decide for the rest of your lives...good luck!
