I have been having the weekend from hell. I was working really late on Friday. While driving back home, I saw a bike rider get hit by a car. I'm an EMT, and new he had terrible head trauma. I did my best until parameds came, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's dead.

My very close female friend got raped last night. I've been with her all day. She wants to drop out of school for a while and I've just been feeling helpless to do anything for her.

And the fucking topper. My other female friend has a peeping tom, so I'm going to spend the night at her house tonight. I'm just so pissed and sad and frustrated I want to bash my head angainst a wall.

    Sorry for venting.

Thanks guys, it really does help just letting it out.

My friend who got raped is as ok as she can be I suppose. Its really hard because she decided to report it to the police, and that is almost as bad as the actual act, especially because she has to explain she had been drinking, etc, etc. It's really hard because we are the best friends, but I feel that as a male, I can't really help her as much as her girlfriends. I just told her that I can't even pretend to know how she feels, but if I could, I would take it on me.

Its such a weird mix of emotions this weekend. I've just never felt this helpless.

I think that is the best thing you can do in a situation like this.
My advice for you is stay positive and don't give up on everything. For your two friends you should do as you have been doing and just be there for them, make them aware that they mean a lot to you and that they have support in a close friend who cares.

I have never been in a situation quite like yours, but there have been times when I've felt helpless because of something bad happening to a very close friend, I knew I wanted to do something, but there wasn't anything I could do.

Keep the love flowing out! Your two friends are at an intensely fragile point and need your support! Spend time with them, make them know that you care and you love them. Stay positive, be the most understanding, caring person you can be.

I hope you feel better! I hope I helped...
    Peace and love my friend!
    Sam
