Another day another letter another e-mail to my favorite brother Another morning another pot of coffee Another half smile Another PDF file Another dollar for another day Need to find some money then I'll find my way For now I'll sit at my desk earn what I need for bills and debts Gonna be a biologist someday Grow my wings and fly away to another place find a friendly face Learn to live and love alike find my freedom to be as I like to travel, to settle, to spoil, and be simple Freedom from judgement Freedom from make-up Freedom from expectation from stagnation Freedom to come and go to lead and to follow to challenge and flow Freedom from money Freedom to be silly Maybe another day Maybe another way
Hope you find your freedom. The world was born in chains and now and then one of us escapes. Hope you're it! Loved the longing in the poem. Don't lose it.
Thank-you, both. I wrote it before moving here, to Washington. I think I've found what I sought, at that particular time, or at least I'm much closer.
i really liked this one...you got a good feeling with words..i hope you find freedom..and the things you're longing to..and please write on..you're good!! luv
Loved the message of the poem until I got to the last two lines, they made the poem droop with a cliche ending. But overall a very solid piece that anyone can easily identify with.
