I will be going to Amsterdam for two mouths. Is there any House boats, apartments, house to rent? Will be there on april 1st to june 1st maybe longer. Me and by wife been looking forward to going there for along time now.
I did a lot of research on this myself, and the best website I found for houseboat and apartment rentals in Amsterdam is http://www.houseboathotel.nl/ . They have many different price ranges to choose from and the service is very prompt and friendly. We haven't stayed at our reserved apartment yet, but I'm very confident in this service. The owner of the apartment is letting us arrive early, giving us a mobile phone for use while in Amsterdam, and is stocking up the kitchen (none of these services were mentioned on the website, by the way) -- and there will not be any extra charge except for the minutes we use on the phone!
Well, we're staying at the Aparment listed as A008, but we'll actually be there while you're in town (although we're not staying as long, so the availability may open up after that). Houseboat-Hotel has a ton of different listings, so I'd imagine you'd be able to find something to suit you. I'd recommend lining something up as soon as you can since you're staying for a long time. All it takes is one other reservation during your planned stay to mess everything up. This website, like all the others I saw, require that you put a down payment on your stay to secure the reservation, so they won't be able to tell other guests to find someplace else since a portion of the stay is paid for in advance -- in the case of Houseboat-Hotel you have to put down 35%. You may have to stay at a couple different places at this stage since you'll be heading out there relatively soon (but hopefully I'm wrong about that!).
