Okay so at the booksstore ( i work in an antique/used bookstore).. i opened a book (religous book) and a picture of a young man dead in a coffin fell out... I didnt think people ever took a camera to a wake... has anyone ever seen someone at a wake taking pictures...

that's kind of creepy, i'd rather remember someone the way they were when they were vibrant and alive.

Was it a very old picture? Back in the early 1900's they would take pictures or get drawings done of their loved ones after they passed away. I found some in my house when I bought it. They are kind of creepy, but also beautiful in a strange way. They look so peaceful. Sometimes they were already in coffins, but usually they were posed. Sometimes with the remaining family members.

    Strange...

we've got pictures of friends who've died laid out in their coffins. not really that unusual.
