yes, argscalawag. It's incredibly stupid and pointless to substitute offensive words with other ones... congratulations on thinking. now that's a rare trait.
while i'm thinking about this... i think clothes have become rather redundant too.

on third thoughts about slightly different-focused posts in this thread
if communicating something is the goal, often listeners get stuck on the swearwords in your sentences than what you're trying to say, so trying to communicate whilst peppering the spaces between your words and sometimes syllables with 'swearwords' is simply pointless. If you're stubborn, then you won't conform to someone else's tightandnarrowmindedness, or even care. If it's an exclamation, like you saw your finger of with a serrated knife whilst chopping carrots, I think that swearing can be an effective way to release some painal frustration

I agree, I know from experience as I do also have a somwhat cursing type of tongue. Awhile back I decided on my Word Processor I was going to program all of the 'curse' words into Auto-Correct. Like : Fuck= Forget, Shit= Crap, Damn= Darn, Fucking= Freaking, Fuckin'= Freakin, even the word gotta= Have to.

So since I am Manic Depressive and have major mood swings, I tried to do my Journaling on the WP and when angry and typed in the curse word I was thinking, it would change to the 'synonym' by auto correct. This made me even more pissed off cause I was in fact feeling or typing these words only to be automatically by the computer, censoring what I was saying in my journal. This did not last long cause the auto correct was stealing my 'voice', My very thoughts and feelings were being subtituted by something else and not what I was trying to say. I did not like it. It only pissed me off more.

'Spring baskets of broken flower's" came into my mind awile ago.
