Anybody heard the two new Beck tracks currently being played all over MTV2?... Black Tambourine and E-Pro... never got into Beck but this could be the turning point for me... good tracks and good videos too... Fuck... I need to get out more... I'll be obsessing over the NME next... Fly...
Just saw this thread as I was listening to "Stereopathetic Soul Manure". Beck is brilliant! He put on an amazing show with the Flaming Lips as his backup band. I'd see him again in a heartbeat. And each album sounds so different from the next, yet I love all of his works, whether accoustic or a little more experimental. I'd fuck him.
was just searching for Beck threads. What little I've heard I think he is phenomenal (sp). listening to Sea Change right now if my disc is labelled correctly. Awesome acoustic stuff. I will be listening more, that's for sure. I was in an empty bar some months ago and the bartender was playing something great I asked him what it was and he said Beck. Looking forward to hearing more Beck. (I am always behind on music but thanks if anyone can offer suggestions).
If you prefer his mellower, more accoustic works, Mutations is a great album. Otherwise I'd give a listen to Odelay. One Foot in the Grave and Stereopathetic Soul Manure might be considered a bit too weird for some, but I love 'em.
Beck rules! Debra is my favourite track in the entire world! Haven't heard his new stuff though, should keep my ears out...
A day later...its awesome. I love the new album, what an awesome mix of all his crazy styles, the first track wiped my hangover off like a chalk razor!
i heard loads of new unreleased beck bizness at the wknd!! also stuff from latest album for first time! apparently the man is bringing out a new album this yr (dunno how much truth is in it tho)!! it was awesome tho! tis more like a mix of everything new, old and everything in between! tis pure quality!! peace and love harmacist xxxx
I have now listened to Odelay and Mutations, and have heard a couple tracks from the new one too (truly awesome). I will keep listening. I did get Midnite Vultures too but haven't listened yet. so much music so little time....
beck is an amazing artist his music is great and so are his videos. with the new track has anyone noticed the beat in the verse kinda resembles that of the beastie boys watcha want? beck is damn fine, can i get a shamone with that please?
