anyone else dress like a wierdo in school?

what was the funniest thing you wore in highschool that wasn't meant to be a costume? did anyone else wear some kinda moron looking outfits?

i wore a vintage nightgown over jeans and a shirt, cause i thought the nightgown was cool looking. i'm sure everyone thought i looked like a bag lady.

i made my mom fix my hair in a beehive all the time, just for the hell of it( it was pretty cool looking, but i got a lot of crap for it).

i tried dying my hair with koolaid. it just ended up being a sticky grape scented mess. alternately i colored my hair with crayola markers several times a week.

i actually wore blue lipstick, which of course looked horrible, more so because of how pale i am. i looked like a drowning victim.

i went through a phase in ninth grade where i must have looked something like a hooker, although i didn't realize it at the time. my husband says his first memory of me is that i was wearing a short dress and thigh highs and a big poofy hat, eating a sucker. rofl. (why didn't anyone stop me?)

anyone else wanna fess up to some wierd fashion decisions?

hell yeah!! i'm all about the whimsy. i wore some crazy outfits, and bless my friends, they just enjoyed it as much as i did. it made me happy to bring a smile to people's faces, and to piss off the ones who took themselves to seriously. good fun. my parents helped, too.

 

The craziest thing i ever wore, was wear my hat backwards..WHOOO what an kooky day that was i tell ya what!

 

i went to a private school,the uniform made us look like sailors... it was so stupid. but i didnt mind, didnt have to worry about what i was going to wear every morning.

my mom always tried to act like she was horrified, but she got a kick out of it too. my mom has a wicked sense of humor, but she hides it under a layer of "appropriateness". she always bitches at me about my tattoos. she hasn't told many people, but she has one too hehe.

 

definately used to dress crazy in school. I rocked the toga freaquently...most of the time of Wednesdays. I admit to have been spotted in a dress...but its a really cool one, so . I made a patchwork robe I'll post someday that I used to use too...old druid, patchwork pimp, medieval jester. Yeah, I used to have a lot of fun...attention issues it seems too huh.

even my dad would pick up some crazy stuff he found at a garage sale or vintage store. the craziest hats and outfits, insane silly socks, i had this pair of bloomers made from patato sacks, ridiculous shoes, rugby socks, whatever. i'd pull together some ridiculous outfit and we'd all laugh my ass off. the next morning i'd be standing at the bus stop in the craziest stuff. i was the highlight of some people's morning drive.

But I haven't combe my hair before going to school in over a year...so that gets me alot of comments.......

 

I once went to school in full juggalo style. Twisted hair, painted face, hatchet man hat and hoody. I found out my teacher was terrified of clowns and she left for the day

It is pretty hard to dress like a weirdo in college. Well, actually it is just that most everyone dresses like a weirdo here and so you only get noticed if you don't dress like a weirdo

But dressing strangely was what I was known for in high school. Well, that and not shaving.

 

Hehehehe...oh, this thread made me think of how wonderful my husband is for still wanting to be with me after knowing me in highschool. I was a crazy dresser!! I can't even count the times that my teachers would pull me aside and say "Mandi, you're such a bright girl, why do you dress like that?" Our principal even pulled me out of class one day to have a talk with me!! Oh, good times.

 

I remeber having hot pink hair, blue hair, blood red hair, aqua hair... My friend has this old pic of me...I'll see if she'll post it. I had on '69 inch florescent (pink, yellow and black) camo pants, a pair of fishnet sleeves, green blue hair, blonde bangs, spikes and a flame purse. I used to go to school wearing a leash so if anyone wanted to they could pull me around or claim me as their bitch. lol Um...I remeber wearing white face makeup, black lipstick and doing the thick egyptian eye thing. I would wear little crowns too. hmmm... I remeber things like those midevil bustier dresses. I always had on some kind of gloves, black...lace...or fishnet. I had these scary platform boots. I liked anything metal and spiky... I'd do anything for a thrill. I'd wear my underwear if I had to. lol don't ask about that one because it happened....

 

I wish I had the balls to dress like a weirdo in high school - there was nothing remotely weird I wore in high school. I didn't really dress weird in college - but at my school, a tie-dyed shirt seemed "weird."
