There are 6 kids at my school who have been diagnosed with mono. They all drink after each other and I've drank after a couple. I'm afraid that I might have it now too. I've been having a really bad time with fatigue, sinus headaches, and dizziness. My tonsils are swollen and my chest has been tight. I don't know if it is just a cold, but my mom made me a doctor's appt for friday and I have a huge fear of doctors. She doesn't know what to do naturally for mono... so she's making me go. I get so anxious around doctors and I'm freaking out. Do ya'll know anything I can do so that I won't have to go.

There are definative tests for Mono. It is called a Mono Spot. PLEASE go to the appointment. Mono is serious, it can damgage and ever rupture your spleen, and that can kill you. Your liver can also be effected. There is supportive treatment for it, and you NEED to be treated. This isn't a cold, if it is Mono. There are also other illnesses which present as mono, which can be quite serious, like Cytomeglovirus. You need to be diagnosed. Here's a good link for mono information for you: http://familydoctor.org/077.xml

Don't be afraid. You need to get healthy. And if you don't have mono, the test will let you know. PLEASE see the HCP today.
