    Today is August 1, 2022.

    In climate change, the only winners are rattlesnakes and cockroaches.

    Today in La Paz the heat rages on, last night it never was below 80 F...

    Today on planet Earth it is hot.

    North or South we are all above normal temperatures...as an average.

    Soon there will be no pockets of cool left, so I am enjoying what we have left and trying to plan for a grimmer future.

    I think more should be thinking outside their little boxes of profit and realize the predicament they have caused for the planet... and work for solutions instead of obstacles to change in the names of "growth" and "profit."

    Today in La Paz it will again be over 100 F. Local papers are running a story saying Cabo and La Paz are destined to be the first cities in Mexico to hit Zero Day = NO WATER from the taps.

    Speaking of the weather, I am here as a climate refugee from a fire burn area... our community was clustered around a big deep ancient lake, but the forest dried up and the temperatures started hitting over 100 F every day in summer... and it all went up in smoke... and not in a Happy Stoner Moment with Cheech and Chong offering shenanigans :)

    Where to next is my question???

    69 degrees at the beach, I'm putting a sweatshirt on. Here, I went to the beach over the weekend and stayed OUT of the sun....there's always those people that have no umbrella, use no sun screen and get burnt to a crisp on their first day of vacation trying to get a one day tan. Next day they slather sunscreen all over them like it will cure sunburn and get burned even worse. Third day they might put a shirt on....

    The heat advisory is for us in Northern Connecticut, but I just don't feel myself to be in danger. Seems to me that all I would need to do is sit in the bathtub in some cool water, an easy solution to the problem, right?

    I was at Oak Island in 2018 and it did get hot in the daytime, but nice and cool at night along the beach.

    Thunderstorms are quite relieving and dramatic! I love them!
