I'll explain the story a bit so you understand the situation a bit. It started about two weeks ago, when I took half a pill of speed. It was decent, for half a pill. Not a big high, just slight stimulation. I came down fine, no crash or anything. Comedown was really tollerable. After school, I had basically come down. I decided to get stoned with my friends. I didn't really get stoned, just slightly high from the speed (it does that to me, after I've been on speed). So anyway, I was fine up to this point. Over 18 hours later, when I was about to go to bed, I smoked a bowl. At this point, my heart started racing and going all crazy. If i'd lie down, it would go really, really slow, and if i sat up, or stood up, i'd feel really dizzy and my heart would be racing as if i just ran 2km up hill. I drank lots and lots of water for hours. That's all i did. ANd pissed a lot. So, i was fine until I smoked the bowl before going to bed. During the day, when i was on speed, i didn't even notice my heart going fast. So, after this, every time I've smoked, my heart starts racing, really hurts, i feel dizzy, can't feel arms, legs, etc. I've noticed since this, my heart is a *little* weird, but its only really bad when I smoke. I quit smoking, and want to stop for a while. But anyway, i did ecstasy once, since then, and it was fine. my heart didn't beat any faster than usual. i saw two doctors about this, and my heart is healthy, so its not a physical problem. anyway, i read that smoking can cause heart palpitations, but if i get it when i smoke, how safe is speed then? i've never actually gotten it when i've been on speed, since last time two weeks ago. i've quit smoking, but what do you think about other drugs? do you think its solely caused by smoking, or could it be caused by the other drugs and triggered by pot or something? thanks, peace
I had some shit going on with my heart too a few weeks back or so. I wasn't sure what caused it, and still am not, but what would happen was whenever I'd be in a certain position or something, I would have pains radiating from my chest and into my arm (I know this is a sign of a heart attack so yeah, I was a little worried). I would also feel like, I dunno...it's hard to explain, but almost like a popping/clicking sensation in my chest that was actually AUDIBLE when my heart would beat if I was in a certain position. This persisited most every day for a week or 2. I was hesitant about doing the 2CE I had recently got but did it anyway. Well, the day after I dosed the 2C-E I stopped getting the pains and shit, and they haven't come back yet, aside from maybe once. I think I might have high cholesterol or something, even though I'm a skinny fucker. so yeah man, not sure what to tell you, except lay off of EVERYTHING for a while, and eat better for a while. Also try to do some light exercise and shit and see if that doesn't help. If all else fails take some 2C-E.
Well I've done coke since, and ecstasy. It had no effect on my heart. Pot does. I don't know. I want to do some crystal, but I don't know. I have this feeling in the back of my mind that my heart will fuck itself inside out. When I actually think about it, I realize its probably the pot... but I still can't take any chems without having that feeling in the back of my head. i've never checked my heart rate when on them before, but ever since, I keep thinking how its going. I know i have a healthy heart, and just have to learn how to deal with it, I guess.
Well, by smoking weed. If its out of a bowl try cleaning the bowl, there could be something in it. Another thing is that weed could have some crap on it, i once bought some shitty weed that had been coated with some Blue Lotus oil to make it feel like it was better weed, it had a speedy heart effect which brought me onto that problem. Last, you could just be paranoid subconsciously about something related to weed. I remember the first time I was cought by my folks (that will really make your heart beat fast) but I noticed that for the next 3-4 weeks after that happening that even thought i was confident of not being cought my heart raced through the whole period.
yeah bro. i am in your exact same situation. i do crystal once and a while. more than i probably should. but anyways i am fine when i am high on glass . when i am coming down my heart beats pretty weired but nothing to be afraid of. then when i smoke weed i get real anxious and my heart likes to pretend i am competeing in a triathalon. very weird. i bet some valium or xanax would be good to smoke weed with in our situation. well good luck buddy your not alone and my racing heart goes out to you.
I think its an anxiety disorder. Every now and then, even when I'm sober, I'll check my heart. Just a habit now. I also quit smoking weed, and I haven't done speed since. I'd rather work with my anxiety without any drugs.
Yeah, I think its anxiety, i talked to a guy at a bar once who told me he ended up in the hospital over that, and the doc told him it wasnt the pot, it was all in his head, ever since I had one panic attack-type thing when I was high the weird sensation comes back when i smoke, but at least its just in my heaad, and I know that, and can get over it.
i have heart palpitations all the time.. pretty scary actually. be careful! maybe you should lay off all drugs until you figure out the problem! and please, no meth that makes me cry.
I have had the same problem, its anxiety like the other people have said. It can get pretty intense but if I take deep breaths and remind myself its all in my head it goes away.
The same thing happened to me. I was driving, then my chest got all constricted and I had a hard time breathing. I thought I was having a heart attack. I pulled over and actually called an ambulance... They hooked me up to some tubes and said I was fine. No heart probs, normal O2. They said it was probably a panic attack. I don't know why though. I wasn't stressed or anything (just finished toking some nuggs though. Don't think that had anything to do with it.)
You should of realized it was obviously the weed. They can happen sober, but if you've never had one before, and you just toked up.. the cause isn't too hard to figure out.
