I'd be willing to bet the former president is pissed right now. The former president is culpable. He is responsible for what happened leading up to that day, on that day, and since then.

In December 2020, the Supreme Court declined to hear a far-fetched claim by the attorney general of Texas, Paxton, that the state of Texas was injured by the manner in which other states conduct their elections.

Did he think that Thomas was just going to say OK ?? He may be a dick, but he's not crazy.

In other words, the mother thinks that rioting at the Capitol is legitimate political discourse.

The judge listened to her twisted excuse and still gave her only 14 days in jail when the prosecutors requested 30.

Three weeks later on Jan. 6, Trump was making similar claims that more time was needed for states to investigate their elections that Biden legitimately won.

That's what we expect... I sure hope the Democrats can rally the votes and keep something resembling a democracy.

It all comes down to people getting off their ass and voting. All the crazies vote, religiously. The students can't, the young don't care, minorities aren't interested. I have to admit, I am voting for a Republican Sheriff locally, though. The Dem in there now is a complete fuckup.

It seems each entity that is investigating Trump is going above and beyond to make sure every i is dotted and every t is crossed - so there are no mistakes and no way to pick the cases apart - I heard one commentator - actually a former Fox News guy - say that the committee had to subpoena Trump, otherwise it would not show they are interested in holding him accountable. He once said that anyone who pleads the 5th is guilty - only the Mob pleads the 5th - or something close to that... so what will he do? who knows. will it matter? we are running out of time.

I wish I could encourage everyone to vote and send a strong message - even if you are a Republican or a conservative - vote Democrat this time, if you believe what happened on J6 was wrong, the lies of a stolen election or illegitimate president in Biden. If we lose our country in the process of handing control back to these people, we're done. If we elect people, you aren't aligned with - you can worry about that if we still have a democracy next time. that's what I see as critical right now.

In all actuality, that very funny. Maybe he'll check into a homeless shelter?

I was homeless for a while, and had a cell phone and a truck ... a little Ford Ranger with a V6. I just couldn't get an apartment, most likely because of my ethnicity.

If J6 Committee turns the matter over to DOJ for a criminal case, then Trump can testify. He can ask his lawyers to let him testify. But, in a criminal case in America, one is not required to be a witness against himself. That might be a consideration for the J6 folks. I hope this Trump none sense is over soon, so I can go back to something fun ... like gambling or drinking.
