I really haven't travelled much of Canada, unfortunately, but it's a goal of mine... In the meantime, I think my favourite place to hang out is the Danforth in Toronto... great Greek district and they have fantastic stores there to shop...

WCT? what's that? my fave place to hang out in all of canada is in my own little world. it doesnt matter where i am, i can usually find some bliss just about anywhere. like a friend of mine once said, there's even beauty in a clearcut if you look hard enough (flowers, fresh starts, possibilites...)
ahhh, you've been canoeing there too eh? yea it is simply breathtaking. have you ever walked along the path at the top of the canyon looking down? its VERY scary...it runs like 2 or 3 feet away from the edge and theres nothing to stop you from just falling over the edge...
no, never made the hike to the top, I just enjoyed drifting down through the canyon as slow as I could and looking up, got some amazing photos
Love your pics BlackGuardXIII. Shanfalls looks absolutely incredible. Would love to check it out someday
As for cities... Commercial Drive area of Vancouver is pretty funky. As for the countryside... that's a tough one, girlfriend and i like 'The Chief' in Squamish BC which is a 500 metre cliff that looks out over Squamish and the river (the hike up makes the view all the more rewarding)... Tofino is also BEAUTIFUL, on vancouver island. Eastern Canada is a whole other kind of appreciation.
Barron River canyon is beautiful... Another good picture but bigger... http://psa.sa.utoronto.ca/pictures/2003-2004/BarronRiver2004_09_04/DSCN3513.JPG
my new favourite place to hang out in Canada: Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) paradise, no shitting you
Awww, you guys are making me homesick,I'm living in England right now and it is beautiful but nothing can compare with the tranquility of the rocky mountains.
I would have to say pretty much anywhere on Vancouver island, especially tofino, or on radar hill at sunset. Or in the crazy bog, where the trees look like brocolli! Also, on the praries in saskatchewan during a crazy lightning storm.
SK is beautiful when there is anything cool going on with the sky. The land just falls away and it's just you and the Universe. There is a lake, in the middle-north of SK, called Greenwater Lake. The water is yucky some summers, but the park is amazing. At night I would go swimming off our deck, swim out into the middle of the lake and float on my back watching the northern lights flicker in their purples and golds and greens. In August, when the Leonid Meteor Shower comes, I would lay there watching it all happen.... and the loons would sing.
Two more places of interest would be The Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia and the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. (Wasaga has a nude area now) Phoenix
