you know my psychologist has a lot to say about you taking off your clothes all the time - even though we love it heh chaps??
Thank you for inviting me to look at your pictures. I recognize some of those scenes from when my family visited London when I was 10. The parliament buildings were dark and grungy, and there was no big ferris wheel on the Thames. (And, being 10, I never saw the inside of a pub.) But otherwise, it looks much the same.
Actually, I do have a request. In Parliament Square, there is a statue of South African leader Jan Smuts. There are lots of photos of the statue with the Big Ben tower in the background. But if you get a photo from exactly the right spot, it looks like he is very shortsighted and is peering closely at the clock face. I have only seen that image done once, but it was pretty funny. Of course, there is no version that I can find on the net. I'd love to see that again.
It never ceases to amaze my why so many American tourists seem to feel that they need to stay in central London. 15 minutes on the tube and they could stay in towns such as Wimbledon, where the hotels and restaurants are every bit as good and cost a fraction of the price. I gave Wimbledon as an example, simply because it is where we live.
