I think Joe Biden has recentered our political compass. There is less unrest in the hearts of Americans. I like that.
He has certainly tried to recenter us. It has been a major effort following the total unraveling done by his predecessor. Each time Biden gets feisty, the GOP calls him on it, like they are the guardians of civility. Politics is so ironic and rocky, and I think we are all exhausted. The day after Election Day we do not know for sure who will control the House or the Senate - close calls in several states and districts. I'm disappointed this morning yet still hopeful this country has not completely lost its mind.
Those who have nothing better to do than nitpick over Biden's performance and policies would do well to remember he is NOT a SUPREME BEING, capable of working miracles. He is a MORTAL man who can only do so much, as is the case for all of us. Recall, on Inauguration Day, he forsook most of the balls and parties that night, choosing instead to get right down to work at 1600 Pennsyvania Avenue. Under Biden, we've emerged from the worst of the COVD and have begun the long trek back to normalcy. Granted, there are far too many hate crimes in too many cities today, too much civil unrest, but, again, look at how much GOOD Biden has done since he is in office. People also forget he is an OLD man (80, I believe); the Presidency will take a toll on ANY man, even men half is age. Stress is ALWAYS a part of the job, regardless of the age of the President. Instead of focusing on the NEGATIVE, we should be "accentuating the POSITIVE", as per the old 1940's Andrews Sisters/Bing Crosby novelty tune. I truly believe that, if nothing else, Mr. Biden is indeed TRYING his best; sure he makes mistakes, but, then again, who among us do not? There is a great deal that so many Americans do not take into consideration.....
Biden just said that the youth of America just saved us from Republican fascism Where have we heard that story before?
Joe, you sure have a lot of stamina for this bullshit. However, Donnie says you are behind about 200 rounds of golf from his standards, so you need to coast a bit now.
As long as ANYTHING is proposed by dems--IT'S A BIG NO!!! Even if it's good for the country. And especially if it's good for regular working people and not for the rich. Disgusting one way pricks,IMO.
They vote against it but once it passes, they go home and brag about how great they're doing and how much good they're bringing back to their communities - even though they voted against the very thing they are bragging about back home.
"It is worth noting that Russian operatives work to sow division in the U.S., and permitting Biden to win the freedom of a Black married lesbian while keeping a white former Marine in prison is the sort of ploy that could turn the repatriation of an American into a cultural flashpoint. Impressively, both the Griner family and the Whelan family avoided that trap and kept a united front;" ~Heather Cox Richardson commentary
