Any YES fans out there? YES was regarded by many in the seventies as the ultimate hippy rock band - brilliant musicianship, spectacular concerts and lyrics that spoke of love, peace and light. Perhaps some people might not realize that YES is still active today and playing just as well as ever. Check out the new book “The Extraordinary World Of YES” by Alan Farley that tells the whole incredible YES story from 1968 to the present day. Details are at the web site www.farley.ozefamily.com . Recommended for keen YES fans and newcomers alike.

I love Yes. Their 1970s incarnation with Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman is easily my favorite band. I lost interest in them in the 80s when Trevor Rabin took over, but since 1996 or so they have returned to their classic form. I have seen them four times since 2002. I think they created some of the most brilliant, enlightened music since Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and Stravinsky. I look forward to reading this new book. And hopefully, we can look foreward to someday hearing a new album.
YES indeed, great to see the classic seventies lineup of the band back together! Don't forget that the "Songs From Tsongas" live YES DVD filmed in 2004 is due for release in April. I can only agree that YES deserves to be listed amongst those classical masters.
