So these guys played over here in NZ last night. Not many people in the audience of 800-100 people really knew who they were - they've never played on this side of the tasman before - but it went off. Everyone was dancing, the band was vibing off the audience who were vibing off the awesome stage presence..it was so, so good. so anyone else seen them live? what did ya think?
havent seen them live but i have met them at a party. they were staying in my friends attic coz they had no money and nowhere else to stay (it was literally just before they got big here, they moved out straight after that)
I first saw cat empire play after a protest rally for the Tasmanian forests in the city and I saw them not long ago again at the St Kilda festival and had a good old boogie. They sure do get your feet moving and your face smiling don't they! I think they are just gorgeous and can't wait to see them again! I think I have a pic somewhere from the rally gig that I took. I'll post it up if I can find it. August x
yeyness. Yeah apparently St Kilda was wicked, go the groovin dubbby jazzy bands. People should also try and hear/see the Black Seeds for another band that you can't help boogie to.
i havent seen them live yet though have had plenty of opportunity....but they are extremely funky and fun to listen to...
