you can't necessarily draw that conclusion based on meeting two other people who have done LSD.

Looks like you can get acid pretty easily if your useing it at sat. school when it probably wouldnt be the best place to do it, if you can get it easy then you dont have to worry about waisting it. Wish I could get acid easy.

indeed. unfortunatly most trippers these days are not going in to the trip for anything other than a good time. and in my observations, that mind frame is a dangerous and detramental one in the long run. the kids need a new guru...someone to make them think. lol

not to mention our current political situation, and our generations love affair with thing fetishism and consumerism. a good ego shattering dose would leave these doomed individuals lost and confused. (not really, but one could imagine)

    exactly..

1st couple times I tripped.. i dont consider that tripping anymore... well at least not psychedelic tripping

then I did a lot of research.. like a ton.. read a ton of work from the 50s and 60s.. took in everything I could done by leary and the rest of the millbrook crew... it doesnt matter that leary is gone from the physical.. he's still here... listen to his teachings.. read books.. read them again.. then try reading them another time... dont treat lsd like ppl treat e, its not a club or party thing.. its a exploration thing, a mind journey, a lesson, a gift....

    i always say...
.. nowadays, the majority of people trip in a ken kesey merry prankster kool-aid acid test style...
.. no one knows about the tim leary millbrook style, so there for they dont have that kind of experience, they dont want to have, and most often ppl call those kinds of experiences 'bad trips' becuase they dont understand.. theyre too rational.. and not open-minded enough for the whole experience

We don't need a 'guru.' We don't need another wacko like leary doing too much acid and contacting aliens in space. This makes us all look like bumbling fools. People should become conscious of their environment while in their normal state of consciousness. Yea, it's true that there is a lot of shit that people need to open their eyes to in our world, but lsd isn't the right approach. This failed in the 60's. Thinking about all these world problems and whatnot while tripping is no good. If you're tripping, you're probably tripping to a. see what tripping is like, b. you think it's fun, c. religious/mystical/spiritual reasons. If you are just tasting out tripping, then you should not really try to think about anything too crazy, it might hurt your skull. If you are tripping for fun, thinking about the state of the world right now, and things like that, will not lead to fun or happy thoughts, and your logic is bended in a 'trippy' way. If you are tripping for the ego-death, mystical type shit, then you are not even supposed to think, just be. Leave the sorting out problems and whatnot to do when you are straight. When people try to use lsd in this way... weird shit happens, that involves aliens and galaxies far far away.

is it really that foolish? sure its far outside what is socially accpetable to expirience or speak of, but thats what its all about right? exploration and expeirementation.

i think its a very valid approach for many...i know it was for me. lsd removed the film from my eyes in a very profound way. and i guess whether or not it failed in the 60's is up for debate/interpretation. as a generation...lsd could not break the shackels....but on an individual basis it did alot of good for alot of people.

lol, indeed it does. been there, played that trip. but there is alway somthing to learn in the process. who knows, there may even be aliens walking among us, programming us, seeding us, ect. (whatever the mind comes up with) and thats the beauty of the human expirience....reality is up for interpretation for each individual. interpretation through expirience, thoughts, emotions, ect.
as that wacko tim leary once said..."any reality is an opinion, and you create your own reality"
having never expirienced another mans reality i cant discredit his expiriences. they are his and only he can interpret them.

i view the psychedelic expirience much like the final frontier. there is much to explore and discover along the road, toward higher planes of conciousness.

You definately make some good points, but the problem is that people who don't do drugs won't take drug users seriously, when the most famous of drug users have all these crackpot theories, like dying and being sent to galaxies millions of years away, with no proof to support these claims. Then, all drug users are stereotyped by the wonderful laws of society as looneys. This leads to no one listening to any of the points you make, no matter how valid they are.

im not the biggest leary fan myself, but i respect what he tried to do for our movement. he got people thinking and lsd on the map, on a massive scale...which is more than anyone here can say about themselves.

what he did took alot of courage, because he knew...speaking to so large an audiance, about things far from socially acceptable, many or even most would hate his ideas. for this the man has my respect.
