MAGA guy sees those as exactly the same... Or what Biden did was worse.... Because MAGA folk are severely fucked in the head.
Biden is beginng to have more baggage than Trump ever did. Lets raid his home and see how many TOP SECRET documents he has stored away
If you can't / wont see the difference between the two situations---you are a republican, IE :cult member.
After their first 723 days in office, none of the four most recent previous Presidents, nor the current President, has had an impressive or enviable score card. Of them, only Bill Clinton finished strong with regard to the approval of all Americans, all adults, and likely or registered voters, of his performance as President at the end of his tenure in the job. Biden started out with a very favorable scorecard, with a great deal of public support, but his performance declined rapidly and glaringly. His low point was in late-July 2022, and he's trending much better now, but still a disappointment in his job performance. His grade as he approaches the midpoint of his four-year term in office is about a C-, not terrible, but likely in a "do not rehire" category among voters as things stand now. His current scorecard numbers are not at the depth of Nixon's level on his final scorecard for performance. Biden's current numbers are more like Carter's and Truman's final numbers, which weren't good. He's bound to finish better than Nixon or Trump did, but it would be difficult for anyone to do worse than they did. As things are now, Biden is likely to underperform Lyndon Johnson. Biden may end up with a better scorecard than Johnson had, but Biden would have to rise to the occasion, and he's fallen far short of doing so. Johnson got a significant nod for deciding not to run again in 1968. Biden's performance may be viewed similarly, and he may get a similar bump in his numbers for statesmanship, if he decides not to run again, if he announces it decisively, and if he begins to take responsibility for his own poor judgment and ineffective leadership. I've characterized Biden in his entire career in public service as being affable but hapless, and his performance as President so far has been consistent with that assessment. If he finishes the way he has started, Biden will end up in the bottom half of presidential performance during the past 80 years, but only slightly below average. American democracy will survive him, but he's likely to be celebrated for nothing more than for not being Donald Trump. It won't be much of a claim of excellence, because all but one of the approximately 332 million US persons can make the same claim right now. For the $400,000 he's paid per year by the American people, plus $50,000 in expenses, plus $100,000 for travel and entertainment, Biden has to do better than he's been doing, if he wants to succeed and not just survive in the job.
At least Biden hasn't been winging his term in office, like Trump. I do think it's very irresponsible the way classified docs get thrown around like confetti.
Mr Obama & Mrs. Clinton had document issues as well. Sure Differences abound. The hysteria is all about the previous officeholder. Biden Turned Classified Docs Into A Scandal To Get Trump, LOL
Has Biden's scorecard as President or for decades in public office changed in the past week because of the emerging details of his mishandling of classified documents and lack of transparency about it? Not really. It's clear he's rolled a couple of gutter balls with this, and he earned himself a zero frame for it. If it was a single game he was bowling, yes, it'd sink his scorecard. However, a presidency is more like a team bowling tournament, and a couple of gutter balls in a row won't affect his personal career average. He's still on track for a Carter/Truman level of performance. Better than Trump? Undoubtedly, but that's setting the bar ridiculously low. Biden's admirers ought to forget Trump, never mention him again unless they're taking about real estate, and raise the bar for Biden's performance as he concludes his career in public service. There's a separate thread for the Donald Trump Scorecard, and those fixated on the previous occupant of the Oval Office should post there about Trump.
Here are some of the promises, in my own words, of the Biden era taken from the Biden/Harris website: Rebuild the middle class. - FAIL ( i have less money in my pocket at the end of the month than ever before - eggs $4.00 a dozen?) Unite all Americans. - FAIL Earn the respect of the world. BIG FAIL Listen to science. - FAIL (he listens to anything anybody tells him) Defeat the Covid virus. - FAIL (and all the ground work was done for him before he took office) Reform healthcare. FAIL ( insurances went up across the board) Save the climate. - FAIL (no improvement noticed)
