What college do or did you attend? What were your majors? Did you enjoy going to campus parties? What was some of your best times during college??? What encouraging words could you tell someone who is thinking about continuing their education??
uoft computer science parties were fun, but school pubs sucked advice: learn the meaning of moderation, depending on how long you want to continue your studies for
norwich university. i'm an economics major. campus parties do not exist - we have a dry campus . best times were just chilling with my friends and trips up to canada to drink. many more good times to come. more drinking. i can't wait to get my ring . encouraging words: stay on top of your studies, then party.
York University. Bachelor of Business Administration w/ major in accounting I can't say that I am much for the campus partying. It takes me an hour and a half on the subway/bus to get to school so its not worth going there for drinks. There are definately some crazy parties that go on. I remember at the beginning of this year we had Matt Good and some other bands play at our campus....that was pretty cool. University is much more fun than high school for the simple fact that you study more of what you enjoy! Do it up! Cheers -Phil
What college do or did you attend? University of Rochester What were your majors? Psych. Did you enjoy going to campus parties? No. What was some of your best times during college??? Sitting on the campus lawn on the nice, sunny days. What encouraging words could you tell someone who is thinking about continuing their education?? Nothing.
I go to Brock (my last year, whoohoo!) I'm a Sociology major Honestly I'm not a party person...I'm really not. I know, I'm a big dork lol but I'd rather just hang out with a few people and talk or something. Best times ... just meeting the new people, and discovering new things about yourself. It can be a really weird time and a lot of adjustment but even the tough stuff usually works out ok. Encouraging words? Don't skip class lol
see, when i skip my accounting class, it makes me feel like i'm on top of the world. like i can do anything i want, like a weight was just lifted off of my shoulders.
University of Saskatchewan Commmerce - Human Resource Management I haven't actually been to any parties on campus. Most of the dorms are pretty tiny, and visitors are only allowed during certain hour. I do enjoy going to the bar with my friends, who also attend the U of S, though the 'university' bar (the one univ students frequent the most) sucks... the guys are very grabby and unpleasant there. Best times? Studying for 12 hours straight, sleeping two hours, writing a midterm and then finding out your bank took your cheque away. er, no, that's just today, sorry. Best times are when you only have one or two finals left during summer, or it's the very beginning of the term and you can sit outside in the sun, because the campus is usually coated in ice or snow. Little to no stress then too. Advice? If you skip class, have a notebuddy you can bribe to take good notes for you, or make sure the notes provided online are really comprehensive and indepth. Read your textbooks! Textbooks are glorious, especially if you skip in copious amounts, like I do.
I am a graduate of The University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC) I have a B.A. in (cultural) Anthropology. I specialized in the culture, religions, and mythology of North India. I did. When I wasn't up to my eyelids in writing assignments. I was really into what I studied and I had more than my fair share of those mind-altering AHA! moments. I do remember one party where I didn't know anyone but the host, but there was a drum circle, some mushroom tea and a bunch of nearly naked, body-painted young women that I just loved at first sight. Since about a dozen drums were being played almost constantly, it was difficult to communicate in any other way but through facial expressions and the rhythm of my drum. It was tribal, even primal, and it was transcendant. Do it!!! There are so many good reasons to study on a college level. Everyone has some gift for the world, something they do really well that, if developed, will make the world better. Whatever your talent is or may become, college will help you to better understand what it is and help you develop it so that the world, and you, can benefit from your gift. College puts you in direct contact with the great ideas of the human tradition and gives you an idea for what still needs to become known. Even if your talent, your study, your major turns out to be something relatively un-transcendent, like Accounting or Law (I am NOT suggesting, even for a moment, that these are anything but respectable professions), College puts you in contact with the world-class minds of the great men and women of history, with the world-class minds of your professors and your fellow students. College puts you in an environment where most of the people with whom you come in contact are actually living the life of the mind. You may find that many are working on, or are on the path to working on, the great mysteries of existence. And, sooner or later, depending on your major, you will recognize that you are participating in the ever-unfolding history of the world. If you take it seriously, College will transform your perception of reality and expand your consciousness as well as, if not better than, any drug you can name. As far as your brain (and your mind) is concerned, learning actually is a physical act which transforms the neural structures through which you perceive reality. I hope this encourages you to continue your education.
I went to the University of Vermont Majored in Private Rec Management Attended some parties here and there, but I was more of a barfly Best times would be skiing, going to shows weekly Advice: Unless you are looking to do something specialized, don't worry about what degree to get. For the most part, I feel that college is for improving ones cognitive abilities, becoming a better problem solver and learning to communicate with others in different formats. For the majority of the jobs out there in the world - all employers are looking for is that you took the time and made the effort to commit yourself towards getting an education.
What college do or did you attend? Humboldt State University What were your majors? Environmental Science and Philosophy Did you enjoy going to campus parties?
