parents that smoke with there teens. not all of them have fucked up lifes. and not mine eather.

i think the main issue of this thread is use of abuse of pot or alcohol with parents. allowing a kid to drink champagne (a glass or two at a celebration... religious even) or to toke a few times...

is diff. then growing up with parents that party and just dont care.

 

id love to have my parents smoke with me. but sadly, they are anti weed.

do you see ozzy, the king of doing every drug imaginable, doing drugs with his kids??? no. he even pushes them away, of course they are going to try it, but still, at least he doesnt party with kelly and jack.

 

If it is an underage child then I do think that you have to be a parent and set guidelines. I did not smoke with my parents or drink with them until I was older. I have never smoked with my parents but did have a drink with like Sunday dinner...but it was not a drunk. It was simply a glass of wine on a holiday.

If my child was an adult and came to me and said I would like a joint while you have a glass of wine (I did do a joint and far more when younger) I would consider the level of maturity they had. If it was to become blasted. then no, I don't support that. If it is a joint and they walk away mellow and happy and not leaving my home driving where it could be an issue, I would probably accept it.

For me it is dependant on age and maturity.

I do not think that a joint is any more harmful to them than a beer, wine or spirit.....but in reality I don't want to see them falling down drunk either as it is not a way to live or to deal with life.
