Tan lines ARE a good bikini because they remind you of what is NOT seen normally. People who spend a lot of time nude in the sun are tan everywhere and it is actually less exciting. You know, the whole "deviance" thing about being naked is lost! Let's face it, a large percentage of nudists are NOT just intellectual nudists but ones who enjoy the breeze on the nerve endings!!
