Like all electronics, they're full of magic smoke. If the magic smoke escapes, they die.

I can't even figure out how to view that page properly on my phone, i don't think getting to question two will help my case any.

I know enough to be happy in knowing that GPUs wont be hoarded for bitcoin mining anymore. :D

I've built about 18 PC computers from a 1996 MSI bare bones motherboard to an Asus B250 motherboard with Nvme M.2 Samsung SSD in 2021, including installing the microprocessor, RAM sticks, fans, wiring, drives, etc into the chassis and installing the OS's.

Only fatalities in 25 years: One Motherboard that was only 7 months old. Returned to store for a free replacement.
One power supply that died one day
Two Microsoft mouses that just croaked
One LC Monitor ~ 22 inches, it was 9 years old.
About 8 fans died -- due to dust mostly
About 6 hard disk drives made grinding noises, so I copied all the files to other disks and dumped the drive
after wiping the platter(s) with a huge magnet.
Two SSD's became 'bricked' for unknown reason(s)

Gone through 18 different Intel Microprocessors - none of them have ever failed.

not much, not much. Tech literacy varies a lot depending on experience and curiosity. Forums used to be where many people learned troubleshooting basics. I remember security topics leading me toward total av reviews when people discussed antivirus options. Protecting devices became part of everyday computer knowledge. The learning process never really stops. There’s always something new.
