Have you ever looked at a high times magazine? theres lots of pictures in there and lots of information about different types of bud. But remember, not all bud looks the same because there are may ways of growing it, different ways to dry it, and all growers put a little bit of their own personality into the mix. So what you should always do, is ask your dealer what the name of the strain is. I ask every time if I don't know, that way I can study it. I look at the tiny little crystals in the bud (that's the THC if you didn't know) the color of the hairs, the smell, the density (if it's light and fluffy or dense and packed) the type of green, and the taste. You try lots of bud over a few years, and you'll know your shit in no time.

Don't worry about it. At your age, I had been smoking for a few years and still didn't know shit about pot.
