Yes, I've noticed that ever since 7. Oct. the Israel/Hamas-conflict has become the new flavor of the month-war now. Still, Ukraine should not be ignored, not least because there's a genocide of European people going on, but also because it could still theoretically spill over to EU/NATO areas, and thus trigger a larger, all-European conflict, which is then something you Americans can't ignore anymore, no matter how badly you'd want to. They should be doing more. US shouldn't have to do the majority. EU should act like they're at war. Russia sure is.
Well, you do have a point. It's incredible how complacent the EU, especially the west European countries got, their performance has been shameful. As much as I dislike Trump, he was right to point that out, the only sane thing he said really. Germany in particular has been dreaming like Sleeping Beauty. Only the eastern countries like Poland and Finland took the threat of russia seriously. Truly shameful how far behind the EU is in their ammo production goals for example. They should've properly ramped things up like a year ago already. But this situation leaves me concerned about America's commitment to NATO. Should doo-doo hit the fan and somebody calls for Article 5., can America still be trusted as an ally?
