The insanity, illegality and immorality of the Republican party boggles the mind. Clearly, they are determined to leave no part of the Constitution un-violated. To answer the question in the clip's title, yes, they are committed to eradicating trans people. This policy was announced last year at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) last year, where the stated goal was the complete eradication (their word) of trans people from public life. It is only a matter of time before they set up the concentration camps.

So they want to let parents do their jobs without government interference. Teach them whatever wacky, hateful doctrine they wish. Except facilitating kids who are trans. That's somehow different. Got it.

On the more positive side, remember that the GOP is now officially a death cult. They will eventually die as political party because their platform is based exclusively on hate and violence.

I am blessed to live in one of the few places in the US (the world maybe?) where trans protection laws are codified and can't be changed with out an amendment to the state constitution. Plus, the Indigenous population is strong enough that it influences local politics and culture, and their views on gender are very different than most Westerners'.

And while I appreciate that the overwhelming majority of opinions expressed in this thread are compassionate and positive, I will never get used to my very existence being a political talking point.
