Jack Smith gives notice ot Aileen Cannon that Trump's team hasn't produced any discovery.

Jack Smith to Judge Aileen Cannon: Trump defendants 'have yet to produce any discovery'

"In accordance with the Court's Order of November 10, 2023 (ECF No. 215), the United States of America files this discovery report," Smith wrote. "That Order contemplates a Joint Discovery Report being filed, but as the Defendants have yet to produce any discovery, the Government has prepared this Report."

Aileen Cannon has an opportunity to respond by chastising Jack Smith for going over a 250 word limit by a couple words in the abstract, like she did previously while condoning and aiding all the stall tactics Trump has used.

One of Trump’s Oldest Tactics in Business and Politics: I’m Rubber. You’re Glue.

    excerpt:

It is “one of the reasons he’s so desperate to push the Jan. 6 trial past the election,” Mr. Axelrod said of the federal indictment charging Mr. Trump with conspiracy to defraud the United States.

“A parade of witnesses, including his own top aides, White House lawyers and advisers, testifying, followed by a guilty verdict, would damage him outside the base,” Mr. Axelrod said."

Holding Trump or any former president accountable for alleged crimes requires evidence to be gathered and presented to a grand jury.

History has shown that such a process makes it difficult for people to frivolously indict a former president for what he did while in office, what Trump claims will become rampant if he isn't endowed with absolute immunity.

The behavior of people like Trump and Nixon is needed to make it possible to gather enough evidence to secure an indictment.

The secretary of state of MO, Ashcroft, says he will remove Biden from the ballot in the 2024 election.

When pressed to explain how he would do it and the legal justification, he either declined to respond or became angry with the question.

Trump's inciting an insurrection and his derelict inaction for hours during the riot contributed to five immediate deaths and eight suicides in the months following the riot.

Trump's slapstick response to the coronavirus contributed to Covid deaths. At the two-year mark, one million Americans were dead from Covid and a million excess deaths occurred. Many of the deaths could have been prevented if Trump had acted rationally about the pandemic.

Leaks from Jack Smith's investigation are saying that Smith has gathered evidence from Trump's close associates at the White House about his deliberate inaction while the insurrection at the Capitol ensued.

Such people could be testifying against Trump at trial before the election, which is why he wants it delayed until after the election.

Trump probably won't be allowed to speak in his defense at the close of the NY fraud case.

Trump can’t speak during closing arguments in NY civil fraud trial, judge says | CNN Politics

    excerpt:

"In a letter to attorneys for Trump and New York Attorney General Letitia James just after noon Wednesday, Engoron said that Trump hasn’t agreed to conditions he set should the former president wish to give a statement.

“Not having heard from you by the third extended deadline (noon today), I assume that Mr. Trump will not agree to the reasonable, lawful limits I have imposed as a precondition to giving a closing statement above and beyond those given by his attorneys, and that, therefore, he will not be speaking in court tomorrow,” Engoron wrote."

Trump pulled that same type of stunt when he was in Europe at his golf course. He said he was going to try hard to be back in NY before his first Carroll defamation trial finished so that he could bravely face his accuser.

After hearing what Trump said, the judge extended the trial for a week.

Trump cowardly didn't attend, even though he was back in the U.S. that week.

Six ways the Supreme Court could side with Trump.

Column: The Supreme Court has 6 options for keeping Trump on the ballot. All of them are flawed

    excerpt:

Trump did not engage in insurrection:

The justices lack sufficient standards for applying the amendment

    The section requires congressional authorization

The amendment prohibits holding office, not running for office:

The Colorado courts were out of step with state law:

The president is not a federal “officer” under the amendment

Ron Johnson is spreading more lies about Trump's insurrection at the Capitol by promoting a new propaganda film.

Johnson acted as a courier for an envelope containing WI fake electors to be handed to Pence on Jan. 6.

Johnson initially denied he knew what was in the envelope. When approached by a reporter about it, he tried to avoid it by faking he was busy on his cellphone which video showed to have a black screen.

GOP's Ron Johnson spreads lies about Jan. 6 at Capitol screening of new propaganda film

    excerpt:

"Johnson then downplayed injuries suffered by police officers during the attack, which officially has been reported as 140 officers but likely includes many more, and one officer died of a stroke the following day and four others took their own lives shortly after the riot.

"They fervently love this country," Johnson said. "They respect law enforcement. They would never even contemplate committing a crime or engaging in acts of violence. The vast majority of people that came on Jan. 6 fitted that profile.""

    Trump made the Frankenstein.

What remains of the rational in the GOP are hoping that the shenanigans will subside just because it's a national election year.

House GOP feud reignites as Johnson caught between warring wings

    excerpt:

“America does not benefit from this intraparty squabble that is going on,” said GOP Rep. Steve Womack, a veteran appropriator. “We do have elections coming up and a lot of what is going on right now is probably going to influence outcomes.”

Womack blasted the use of blowing up House procedural votes as a way to register dissatisfaction, saying that when he came to Congress, it was a huge “no, no.”

“It hasn’t been until recently that it is OK to take down rules. They do it with impunity,” Womack said. “That is the Frankenstein that we have created over the last year. We have created this monster and now we are having to live with it. “

In recent weeks, a steady stream of GOP House members have been announcing they won't run again in 2024.

Some, like Womack, are frustrated with the way the House behaves with Trump people obstructing the flow of business for the sake of promoting personal peeves .
