A baseball bat goes flying into the stands, a man takes it on the arm to keep it from hitting his son
Looking east towards Maine Medical Center and then a children's museum on Thompson's Point in Portland, Maine.
Both from I-95 South: Leaving Maine on the Piscataqua River Bridge (really hurts going this way), then the recently built Whittier Bridge on the Merrimack River in northeastern Massachusetts.
Is the NH state owned liquor store in the I95 median between NH and Mass still there? I made that trip back in 1976.
That was one of those trips from or to hell. I was with a geologist and we were going to the White Mtn NF in Laconia, NH. We picked up a rental at Logan and just after we passed the liquor store the car blew a tire. It was when the remnants of a hurricane was going up the coast and we had put on a very feeble spare in the storm along I 95. Scary. So the next day we left the vehicle at a service station in Conway to get the tire repaired and rode up to a NF district in Maine with a Forest Service employee. We returned that night only find the tire hadn’t been fixed because the power had been out all day because of the storm. Shit.
What is up with that building directly above the trusses of that bridge? Looks like there is a whole chunk missing
