    Hokay:
When feet are uncovered, you are "barefoot"
    (ONE word; it's an adjective)
When you go with uncovered feet, you go "barefoot"
(ONE word; the word becomes an adverb)
When feet are uncovered, you have two "bare feet"
(TWO words; bare is an adjective, feet is a noun)

That's why I didn't like grammar in school, we didn't discuss "barefoot"

NOBODY discusses barefoot! It's one of those few truly hush-hush words, like penis.

Don't you guys know? Feet are just some stuff you put inside of your shoes. Otherwise, they are expendable. Shoes are the valuable item.
