it could mean any number of things, really. is something hits "good" it may just flow well - it's not difficult to draw the smoke from the apparatus. it could also apply to the amount of smoke that is drawn through - a "good" hit could just be a "big" hit. tough call. but if something hits "good" it's probably a good sign at the very least.

It depends on what that person defines a "good hit", to me it means I felt it, It was enough to get me more high...

coughing just stops the flow of oxygen to the brain which makes you feel higher. It doesn't have any effect on how high you get from the THC. You can get just as high coughing and holding your breath without any weed, but its not that fun.

anyway, to me, a good hit is a decent amount of smoke flowing smoothly from the bowl/ bong/ whatever into my lings, held a decent amount of time and when I exhale a beautiful cloud is in front of me.

A good hit, to me, is when it physically hurts my lungs to hold it in. The more pain, the higher I get.

To me, a good hit is one that doesn't hurt. When it pulls smoothe, and you get a lot of smoke...it feels like velvet. I smoke mainly blunts, and sometimes if I did a fucked up roll job, or whatever, the blunt just doesn't hit right... it feels tight, and you don't get any smoke. The worst is when you hit it too hard, and that shit starts to burn and hurt, like you're dying or your chest is on fire. And it still burns after you exhale. yuck.

for me it's a good amount of smoke to fill my lungs, but doesn't make me cough. i like the feeling of smoke from good pot expanding in your lungs but too much of that propels me into a coughing fit which i don't enjoy. also, if it happens to be shitty weed then it can make my throat raw and scratchy. and lastly i have to be able to pull air through whatever i'm smoking. a bad seal (if that's not the animal), a clog, or a roll job done too tightly all prevent the "good hit."

a good hit: a hit that you like

it doesnt matter really how the hit was good, though that the expression of a 'good hit' was one that had been approved by the subject

A good hit for me is when I can't see whats on the other side of the cloud I exhale after holding it for as long as I can.
