Hey Skip how about thread for us "show-me" folks:sunglasse I know we have quite a few missouri people here at the forums.....plus we also are home to the schwaggstock festivals....and numerous blues fest shows through out the year...and since most people look at missouri ..as out of the main stream of society's thinking i.e. they think we are back woods or something....but isn't that what a hippie basically is...removed from the main stream thought process... just a curiousity and a thought for a "show-me" equal space:sunglasse
How about one that includes the less represented states together if that's the issue, like Montana, I don't know if there's anyone else in this big ass state on this site, but plenty of people pass through seasonally. I'm working to build the MonDak Rainbow Rez. Ranch Hostel out here to help tie together the loose wide spread family out on the range. Could we do a western mid-west / West zone to include a few that currently aren't there? Montana, Wyoming, the Dakotas, down through MO, and where ever else....
There are all of 4 posts in the VA forum (which I checked as I go to school there, not just picking on VA for no reason!). So why on earth is there not a MO forum? If it's a matter of space, I've seen more people on here represent MO than VA!!!
The people in Missouri are amazing! We broke down like 8 times in Missouri on our way to CO and everyone helped us out for free! They would accept anything but a beer. I will always remember those folks from out there. I would love to visit again! They deserve their own section too!
I lived in Missouri for a year on the shores of the Lake of the Ozarks, 7 miles from a little town called Warsaw. Believe me, Missouri, or as we called it, Misery, is nothing to bragg about. :<))
iwas withbumble onthis trip..& shes seriusly under praising how amazing the folks were we broke down way more then 8times, it took us 48 hours to cross the state..but everyone was so cool, we'd break down &the momment we'd pop the hood, cars would stop to help.. 3-4 cars at a time..we had at least 50 people stop to help us out along the way ..at 1 point we were in a tiny town of 400...that has the most drug busts inthe country...1 guy worked on the truck for 8 hours..then came back at 7 am to work 4 more hours onit..he would only accept 1 beer..wouldnt even take $12 after all that work (and after taking a starter off his own truck for ours) if your ever drivin through missouri..i highly recomend ya sabatauge your vehicle & break down as often as possible...its an amazing experience to have folks just drop everything just to help total strangers out the people of missourri made a trip that coulda been pure hell intoone that was totaly magical & memmorable lovin ya all
Perhaps Skip figured that all the MO heads are allready on The Schwag message Board. A MO thread would be awesome. That way I could meet more cool folks over there.
Yeah Skip...it looks like there was quite a response to this thread...us hillbillies are in need of our own forum.....there also seems to be more and more missourians showing up here at hips.....so a welcoming forum from home town folk would be a nice addition...thanx dude
