Right-wing Newsmax settles Smartmatic defamation lawsuit.

    https://www.npr.org/2024/09/26/nx-s...tmatic-settlement-defamation-election-lawsuit

    excerpt:

"Once more, a voting tech company has settled its defamation lawsuit over false allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election before the start of trial — in this instance, Smartmatic USA’s suit against the conservative network Newsmax.

Thursday’s settlement occurred during the jury selection process. A four-week trial was scheduled to begin in Delaware on Monday.

Neither side made details of the settlement public."

Trump seems to have gone quiet about Giuliani and Lindell.

Lindell was a recurring guest at Trump's rallies after the 2020 election for a few years.

At a rally a few years ago, Lindell was all excited and saying that the 2020 election allegedly stolen from Trump was the biggest story in the history of humanity. He looked and sounded like a kindergartener, throwing his arms around and talking emotionally.

Like Giuliani, Lindell gradually wrecked his own business and life in the name of Trump. But it was all worth it.

In the past, people were removed from voter rolls after the election so as to not disenfranchise people who wanted to vote and who would otherwise not have had sufficient warning to re-register if pulled just before an election.

Trump damaged what was once a reasonable way of managing voter rolls.

"...the fine print specified that the watches in the ad might not “be an exact representation of the final product.”
So, he doesn't actually have any watches to sell, only the "concept of a watch".
    LOL!

Like the gold sneakers I’m sure. No way anyone actually received those things.

The constant grifting of shoes, watches, trading cards (which I found hysterical) and everything else reeks of someone who’s quickly running out of money if he’s not flat broke already.

Even his wife is out there now peddling her meager wares.

He’s just a gross pig and always has been. We did underestimate his Svengali abilities though.

$100,000 for a watch that isn't really there. It's ok. People won't even have to think about the watch and how they were cheated because the watch isn't there.

If not that, just think about the watch and it's really there.

Trump has been projecting his mental masturbations onto the public to deal with the reproductive rights he took away from women (that they now don't have to think about), the supposed declassification (by thinking think about it) of secret government documents he stole, and 10,000 military troops he supposedly offered Pelosi (by simply thinking about it).

He kept carefully reciting the word tourbillon like a kid in a spelling bee, clearly having been taught how to pronounce it.

No way he bothered to ask what it meant though.

It could also be a grift to evade campaign finance laws. "This isn't an illegal campaign contribution; I'm just buying a dozen promissory-note $100,000 watches."

A company called TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC, which is licensing Trump's name for the watches, lists its address as a suite located in a building in Sheridan, Wyoming, the same address as the company selling Trump's $499 sneakers. The suite is near a Wendy's fast-food location and Sherwin-Williams paint store.

    Ain’t that a surprise?
