lately i have been thinking about it, and after visiting http://www.milksucks.com i think the vegan path is definatley the one for me...what do i want to watch out for though, animal products/ingredient wise??? i dont just want to avoid animal products, but eat healthy and good too, will i need to take any vitamins, if so, what kind? i know its very possible, and probably not even that hard....so what are the good, healthy tasty vegan foods? oh and what about cheese?lol... is it really that bad, what goes on when they make cheese? are there any good substitutes? also, what products do i want to watch out for when im shopping that are made of animals or tested on animals?
Maybe get yourself a book or two that covers all things vegan, esp regarding health. I'm not vegan (veggie, but vegan soon) and I still have alot to learn. Google "caring consumer".......they have an entire list of company's that don't test on animals. And (I think) an ingrediants list as well which will help. But there are a bunch of knowledgable vegans around here so they could probably help you better. I think it's great that you are choosing the vegan life!!
There's a great book 'Becoming vegan' I have a copy, it cover pretty much everything you'd need to know. So a great investment.
Google "vegan outreach". They have a great starter kit with lots of info that they will send you free.
You know whats really good? Tofutti products... they make pizza and its so good its all vegan friendly...and there icecream is amazing!
