My sister is taking the diet pill cortislim, and she has lost a lot of weight in the past couple of months. I try to tell her that it cant be good for her body, but she insists on taking them. Anybody know that they work? How can i help her? Concerned
I know they have a HUGE amalgam of herbs and supplemental substanes it it. But I don't know what. Do you know what the ingredients of it are? I did a search. From their site: In other words, they are NOT going to tell you what is in it. I wouldn't touch something that I didn't know what it was with a twenty foot pole. Photo, do you have an ingredient list?
My store sells it. I will check the ingredients, I don't know off hand. I looked at it before, it looked rather benign (& USELESS!)
Also, if it has mau hung (sp???) in it, stay away. Herbal for of ephedrine. I've always wondered what exactly is in Cortislim, too.
i have always believed that the only real way to lose weight and keep it off for life is to completely change your lifestyle to a healthy one. drop refined sugars, foods packed with preservatives, saturated and trans fats. start exercising at least 3 times a week, every day if possible. of course being sensible and moderate all the way.
I completly agree. Sadly I'm learning this the hard way. I used to be a diet pill junkie. I took Metabolife (with ephedrine) and Zantrex. Both times I lost weight. Both times I gained it all back. I eat pretty healthy and exercise at least 5 days a week but it will never be that easy for me again. I think that when you take things to speed up your metabolism and do it in such an unhealthy way then your metabolism crashes, so to speak, and you will never burn it off as easily as before. I don't know what's in cortislim but tell your sister to be careful.
HERE IT IS: vitamin C 100 mg calcium 150 mg chromium 50 mcg "Cortiplex" 58.75 mg (proprietary blend) containing: magnolia bark extract 40% honkiol beta-sitosterol theanine "Leptiplex" 12.5 mg (proprietary blend) containing: Green Tea Leaf Extract 40% ECGC Asian Ginseng 4% ginsenosides "Insutrol" 16.5 mg (proprietary blend) containing: banba leaf extract 1% corosolic acid vanadium 5 mcg ______________ Does anyone know what banba leaf, beta-sitosterol, or magnolia bark extract do? The other ingredients are pretty benign. I LOVE the 3 different "proprietary blends"! What a JOKE! Is that supposed to make it look fancy?
Nope. Too lazy to look for my herb books right now. I'll do it on Monday, when I have more time. (Kids are home and running wild........)
Off topic of cortislim, but isn't ephedra banned now? I've never taken diet pills before last year, and then I only took them (hydroxycut) for about 2 weeks and a straaaaaaange thing started happening to my poo...not nice, and kinda scary. So I got out of that little get cut quick ideal and back into my healthier one. The hell if I'm gonna let that happen to my poo again just to get a little weight off! That would be a sign that all was not well in my body. Everything went back to normal after I stopped taking that crap. So um...beware of hydroxycut. My parents have been taking cortislim for a month now...they eat relatively well, but can't exercise because of their achey bones and such. It's a shame because they both used to be so fit and healthy when I was itty bitty. But desk jobs got the best of em (bodywise anyway ) They haven't noticed any odd effects, and it appears to be working for them somewhat. We'll see.
