I have an interview for a new job on Friday, if I get the job, I will have to give up cannabis. It's already been almost two weeks since I've last been stoned
If that is an issue, keep your resume up to date and stay on the lookout for other jobs. Over my career, I changed jobs 6 times - all of them for different reasons.
Good luck on all fronts(smoking and getting the job) I never smoke before or during work.............but it is good we don do drug/bloodtest here(nl) Mzzls
Is cannabis legal in your area? It's going to come down to local/ state law versus what the Feds force people to do (or not do). If cannabis is legal I find it hard for an employer to enforce a no weed requirement and do testing and discipline for it. Unless they were involved in federal contracts. Even then legal cannabis is no different than having a drink at the local pub.
It is legal in my state. But the job would be on tribal land at a Native American casino. Different jurisdiction and different laws.
Each tribe has their own laws that differ from tribe to tribe, state, and some federal. You might ask what drugs would be cause for dismissal. It may be Mary Jane use is acceptable. What happened in North Carolina, a state that prohibits MJ use, the Eastern Cherokee Nation took their vacant bingo hall and turned it into a cannabis dispensary, recreational included. Open to the public.
