Anyone hate MTV as much as me?

MTV was never very good..

Sometimes I watch a little vh-1 or ovation

 

yeah i dig vh1 sometimes, i like the Behind The Music series =)

 

I dont know about every one but personaly I try to keep an open mind to music there is a lot of crap on the market rap rock country blues metas sadist whatever but there are some talented people in the music industry and you have to give them cridit where it is due Im an old school hippie but i love some new era sounds country alternative classic rock and even hip hop some but for the most i GRIND!!!!! PUT THE MUSIC BACK INTO MTV most rap ou here is the same beet topic hoes and gold teefeses and whatever hapened to being able to carry a note or tune some of them fools sound like the got cancer of the larinix

MTV is horrible... I like VH1Classic!!!! its a pretty good channel.. Though id rather not watch TV

 

the popularization of music videos is responsible for shity music because the talent of the artist is no longer thier most important attribute, it's thier image. look at the pop stars from about 1982 onward. 90% of them look good but play shitty music. meat loaf was great. he would never make it today. video killed the radio star

 

I hate mtv more worser than any of you.

I mean, there's not even a metal show at all anymore (there's no mtv2 here), so all we get is lame-ass blonde teens who can't sing and look like sluts (which is not a positive thing IMO), hiphop, and well that's it really.

 

Yeah you're totally right ... i was talkin' bout this to my brother ... In Radio and in most music television they lack of diversity...
Mtv is becomin' a desert with some trees tryin' to survive...and the desert win miles after miles with the years...
There's million of artist and a probably a few thousand solo or bands know or totally unknow that play passionately good & adventurous music...
I knew that the valley of death was near of LA ...but it seems to get everytime closer......closer...closer to this city.

I like music videos. I watch MTV2 (alternate music channel), Scuzz, Q and Kerrang! Music channels supply me with both music from bands I love and gets me into bands I've never heard of.

 

yeahhh mtv make you discover bands that you don't know...but the most part is not discoverin' ....but a nightmare of ass upon your screen ...this is called r'n'b or rap. (i'm jokin' a little)

Mtv 2 is better with more alternative rock videos...
And if you like the Kinks (the end of "session man" is f***in' powerful!) you will probably like magazine as "Modjo" .

for thse of us who dont get M2 and are stuck with our local classic rock station it sux there is no diversity in what is populare in small towns hopefully one day i can get satilite radio untill them im stuck listining to what 100 high school kid think is cool and again that sux too the teenee bopper crap they try to pull off as musick is sickening where is the heart and soul of music gone to how did we get runway models trying to lipsinc to a song they couldnt possibly think of themselves.Disspecable

The only thing I watch on MTV is Boiling Points, Punk'd & Jackass. The rest is shit.

I live in Canada and I don't get MTV. I get muchmusic which is a tad more liberal with what video's they show. but still shit

but one thing i hate the most is the product of MTV. MTV KIDS!!!!!! fucking kids i see in the halls, dressed up in preppy american eagle and west 49 shit clothing. i guess they think those 9 year olds work well under pressure. by pressure i mean the sweat shops they work at, where the benefits include a preview to hell. kids who love shitty music like linkin park and hoobastank and other shit out there, who think it's talent. ill listen to children of bodom, and i understand it isn't pleasent to everyone but tis talent, yet they call it shit.

but enough about my MTV kids rant, since you gotta see one to understand.

another bullshit thing... my girlfirend and i were on the phone the other night,t aking silly little tests from those shitty teen pop magazines. i took the "how origanol are you?" test. i answered the questions to the best of my ability, considering options for the answers were shit. in the end i was "annoyingly genuine". by that they mean im trying to hard to be myself. what the fuck. even worse, teh article said somhting like "you're trying so hard to avoid mainstream that you're missing out. trying turning on MTV, AND KEEP AN OPEN MIND, SINCE YOU'LL PROBABLY FIND SOMETHING COOL" in my opinion eveyrthing on MTV has absolutly no right ot define themselves as cool. i was kinda offended by this. anywho im done. MTV sucks.
