Certain people (too many!) see him as strong against perceived dangers. Unfortunately this "strength" comes with a ding on civil liberties on everyone (except the well connected rich white guys), and those perceived dangers are mostly complete bullshit anyways. He had good PR (Fox News, charismatic influencers, etc.)

With all due respect to the sane people in the Southern states and provinces like Alberta, I wouldn't mind a realignment of the states and provinces. They can take Texas and Alabama and continue to rule themselves into oblivion and I'll gladly take Ontario and British Columbia.

 

I am certain that everyone here has heard the tragic news of former President Joe Biden being diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

My prayers are with Joe and his family; what terrible news.

Regarding Mr. Biden's current health crises, I am now reflecting on the last year or so he was in office.

I often noticed (while watching news reports) his, straight, once-determined gait now becoming slower, and, when debarking from a plane or helicopter, that he was having to go slowly and carefully, gingerly taking one step at a time.

IMHO, I think he also had other (age related) health issues going on.

I also noticed that, in bright lighting, his eyes would appear quite small.

Aging is NO JOKE for ANY of us, regardless of our station in life.

Again, God be with our good friend Joe Biden.............

 

Had Joe Biden not have dropped out of the 2024 Presidential race (and had won), most certainly, he would have had to resign, due to his current health crises.

Strange, when Joe announced he was dropping out of the race, I distinctly remember his not sounding all that well (obviously, whatever health issues he then had were become more of a hinderance)

I don't think any of us were prepared to hear of Joe being stricken with cancer.

If only we could FINALLY lick "The Big 'C' ", once and for all.

A real kick in the ass, indeed, to hear what a grave crises Joe Biden is now facing; however, I DO know he'll face the fates with both dignity and courage...........

 

As someone who still has a long way to go in their five-year checkup plan, I can tell you that having cancer, seriously, is no joke. Cancer seems to strike those we'd never consider having cancer and, well, unless Joe has the finest cancer doctors in the country (and maybe the world), metastatic cancers tend to spread like wildfire until... il est mort.

I lost my dad at age 73 to cancer back in 1980; his cancer was very aggressive and he last barely two months after he was diagnosed; I saw, firsthand, what "The Big 'C' " can do.......truly frightening and sobering, for all involved.

Regarding Mr. Biden, as you correctly state, even the best doctors on the planet can do little, if his cancer has really made inroads into his bones and system.

Cancer is indeed the ugliness that lives amongst us, in indidious silence, waiting to strike.

Again, all my thoughts and prayers are with Joe and his family............may God grant them all strength and courage........

 

I wish nothing but the best of health for our former President. I hope he can beat this so at least this isn't the cause of his suffering.

His age, sadly, will play a tremendous factor in his battle with cancer, but I am hoping that he can draw upon his inner strength and fight back.
