About a year ago I was making really good progress getting over a broken hip, Getting around with one of those four-wheel walkers and about to start trying to get into my van and driving again. But then I tore a disc in my lumbar spine which causes the worst pain you can imagine and took three months of screaming every time I moved to get it healed. Then the disc below it tore!! About seven months of bed-bound wasted my muscles down to noodlesand then I got one of those respiratory viruses. Had to be intubated and on a ventilator twice! when that passed I went to a 'nursing home' to use their physical therapy department to gain back some strength. I've been here seven months now. and am only slowly regaining my strength. on top of all that, my trachea is full of junk and my barely competent doctor can't clear it up. This last week I'm having to use oxygen much of the time.

Frankly, all this just pisses me off! A year and a half ago I was getting over what I thought was the worst of it, and then all this other crap happened. Pisses me off.
